144 Golfers participated in the competition

The 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament 2024 opened at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course (No. 6, Tan Son, Ward 12, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City), on the morning of September 30.

The 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament in 2024 gathered 144 golfers to participate, with the grand prizes of Hole In One - 01 Vinfast VF9 car worth up to 1.5 billion VND, along with prizes and gifts for all golfers participating in the tournament up to more than 5.2 billion VND.

Golfers compete in 4 groups A, B, C and the Women's group in the 18-hole individual stroke play format. Men's golfers are divided into 3 groups: Group A (HDC 0 - 18); Group B (HDC 19 - 28); Group C (HDC >28); and the Women's group HDC 0 - 36.

The 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament is even more meaningful as it is part of the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Editor-in-Chief of Economic and Urban Newspaper expressed his sincere thanks to businesses, sponsors and golfers who have always accompanied the Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament over the past 3 years.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Editor-in-Chief of Economic and Urban Newspaper delivered the opening speech.

“Inheriting the success of the 2022 and 2023 seasons, the Economic and Urban Newspaper will continue to organize the 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament in 2024. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the golfers officially compete to find the winner of each group, the golfer with the lowest NET score after the tournament ends.

The golfers entered the tournament with the highest sportsmanship and determination.

The Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament is oriented as an annual activity of the Economic and Urban Newspaper, creating a sports playground with the spirit of fair play, and also a bridge to help spread kindness through meaningful community activities.
