CHINA - Receiving mixed opinions when publicly announcing the list of 1,477 new students who dropped out of school, on the evening of October 21, Baiyun Academy (China) spoke up to explain.
On October 15, Baiyun Academy in Guangdong (China) posted the following information: "After a thorough check, the school confirmed that 1,477 new students had dropped out of school (list attached). This means that after the end of the notification period, the admission rights of the above candidates will be revoked."
Immediately after that, the topic "1,477 new students admitted to Bach Van Academy refused to enroll" received much attention from the public in this country with mixed opinions. On the evening of October 21, the school officially spoke up to explain as follows:
"Firstly, the school has fulfilled its 2024 enrollment mission, with a total of 13,526 targets, of which 8,026 are for the regular system and 5,500 are for the college-to-university system.
The school reported that there are 1,477 new students in the bridging program who have not yet enrolled, reaching a rate of 89.08% - still within the enrollment range allowed by universities in the province.
Second, out of the 1,477 students who dropped out of school, 709 had graduated from college and wanted to transfer to university. For this group, in addition to continuing their studies, they have many other options such as working, taking the civil service exam or studying abroad... so dropping out of school is understandable.
Third, the publication of the list of 1,477 new students who dropped out of school is a mandatory procedure according to the regulations of the Chinese Ministry of Education, to ensure transparency in the admission process.
According to Sina , in addition to Baiyun Academy, East China Normal University, Donghua University, Hunan Normal University, Yangzhou University and Wuhan University of Commerce... also simultaneously announced the list of new students who did not enroll on time. According to the regulations of the schools, these candidates will have their admission rights revoked.
