Ha Tinh is considered a bright spot, a leading locality in the country in building new rural areas and is in the process of implementing the goal of building a new rural province by 2025. This achievement is thanks to the wise leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the government and the determination, consensus and emulation spirit of all classes of people.
Mai Phu Commune (Loc Ha) is determined to build new rural areas beyond the set plan.
Starting from a low starting point to build a new rural area, the cadres and people of Mai Phu commune (Loc Ha) are more aware of their responsibility in the process of changing their homeland and villages. The Resolution of the Party Congress of the commune for the 2020-2025 term set the goal of building an advanced new rural commune by 2024, but with determination and unceasing efforts, Mai Phu reached the finish line at the end of 2021 - 3 years ahead of schedule.
Building new rural areas has become an awareness and a vibrant emulation movement of every cadre and citizen of Mai Phu commune.
Chairman of Mai Phu Commune People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Bac shared: "To build a new rural area, we must first build a new mindset and new people. From nothing, farmer Le Manh Hung in Tay Tra village, Huong Tra commune (Huong Khe) boldly implemented the idea of building a comprehensive farm model on the hill.
With support from local authorities in terms of land lease policies, loans, and techniques, and his own passion for legitimate work and enrichment, after more than 5 years, Mr. Hung has a farm with more than 11,000 chickens, hundreds of high-tech melon trees; annual income of about 2.5 billion VND.
Mr. Hung is a farmer honored as a typical patriotic emulation model in the whole province.
Mr. Hung shared: “The initial difficulties with countless sweat and efforts are immeasurable, but looking at the business today, I see that those efforts were worth it. I cannot help but be proud because it is the result of honest labor, the way I contribute a small part to building a more prosperous homeland.”

In the period of 2021-2023, localities, departments, branches, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations in Ha Tinh have launched dozens of patriotic emulation movements in all fields. The movements closely follow practical requirements; arouse the efforts and dedication of each cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker, armed forces, business community and the majority of people; truly become the driving force for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of the province.
Workers in agencies, units and enterprises are all enthusiastically competing in labor production.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Ngo Dinh Van shared: “Determining emulation as the driving force of production and business activities, trade unions at all levels always consider launching emulation campaigns as a regular and continuous activity. In the movement, many typical examples of cadres, workers and laborers have emerged with initiatives that promote practical efficiency in labor practices, contributing to building strong agencies, units and enterprises”.

Head of the Provincial Emulation and Rewards Committee Nguyen Van Hung said: “Rewarding work is always focused on by all levels and sectors, especially timely selection and commendation of typical examples from the grassroots and direct workers.
