According to Mr. Vang Seo Con - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Giang province, in the past 5 years, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and the programs and work plans of the Fatherland Front at all levels in Ha Giang province have been implemented comprehensively and diversely. The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations have done a good job of propaganda, mobilization, gathering and consolidating the great national unity bloc, promoting the people's mastery to strengthen social consensus in implementing the Party's and State's guidelines and policies. With practical, specific actions, close to the actual situation, the emulation movements and campaigns launched and responded to by the Front have increasingly gone into depth, spreading widely in the community.
Notably, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has many creative ways of doing things, with the motto of the State and the people working together, the Fatherland Front at all levels mobilized people to contribute working days, funds and land areas to build traffic works, cultural houses and other welfare works. Up to now, Ha Giang has 1 district-level unit completing the task of building new rural areas, 51 communes have been recognized as meeting new rural standards, of which 1 commune has met advanced new rural standards, and 88 villages have met new rural standards.
Activities for the poor and social security programs have many innovations, especially in mobilizing resources to join hands to support the subjects, contributing to solving social problems, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. The highlight of the Fatherland Front of Ha Giang province in the past term was the implementation of the Program to support the construction of houses for poor households and poor veterans. Specifically, the Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Giang province launched the emulation movement "Solidarity, joining hands to build houses for poor households and poor veterans" with 6,700 houses, with a total budget of over 700 billion VND supported to build new houses for families of meritorious people, poor veterans, and poor households with housing difficulties.
From the practical coordination work in the past time, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Giang province Vang Seo Con said that the Fatherland Front of the province continues to coordinate with state agencies and member organizations of the Front to effectively implement the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Especially focusing on implementing the contents of the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", continuing to launch and respond to the Peak Month for the Poor and annual activities to care for the poor; presiding over consultations and coordination with mass organizations to assign tasks to help households escape poverty, replicate effective models and methods, focus on renovating mixed gardens, developing household economy to create livelihoods for people, and sustainably reduce poverty.
