Compared to the same period last year, the export value of seafood products in the first two months of 2025 to the Chinese market increased by 75.9%, to the Japanese market by 13%, and to the US market by 14.5%. Among the 15 largest export markets, the export value of seafood products increased the most in the Chinese market with an increase of 75.9% and decreased the most in the Taiwanese market (China) with a decrease of 2.7%.
To boost seafood exports in the coming months, businesses need to innovate processing equipment and technology, invest in upgrading seafood processing plants and develop new products with high added value from raw materials and seafood by-products. Along with that, improve quality, food safety and environmental protection according to international and domestic standards.
