According to data from the relevant authorities, in 2023, our province had 2,036 workers working abroad for a limited period of time. With this result, labor export (XKLĐ) has reached its highest level in the past 10 years.
In 2023, the domestic labor market has not seen much improvement. In order to connect domestic and foreign jobs for workers, the Provincial Employment Service Center has organized many programs to provide advice on vocational study abroad, low-cost labor export; exploit the labor needs of businesses... to act as a bridge, helping workers return to the market soon.
Market work, introduction and labor supply are continuously announced on the website of the Provincial Employment Service Center. Major programs such as: Japanese technical interns; Japanese nursing assistants, the Federal Republic of Germany... are propagated in many forms to communes and wards throughout the province.
In addition, many markets with good income levels are constantly recruiting workers for industries such as: Mechanics, construction, food processing, product packaging, agriculture... with the condition that they have graduated from high school or higher, and are in good health. The salary will be from 20-30 million VND/person/month. Workers will enjoy full benefits according to the regulations of the host country, with a working term of 5 years or more.
To support workers who meet all requirements before leaving the country, the Provincial Employment Service Center coordinates with businesses licensed by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to partially support funding, creating conditions for them to receive preferential loans to participate in the labor market.
In addition, the Center also announced and guided the necessary procedures for workers selected by Korean enterprises; organized the selection of 965 workers to register for the 2023 EPS program for 5 industries: manufacturing, construction, agriculture, fisheries, and shipbuilding.

Hai Phong Company in the North is one of the units with a lot of experience and prestige in sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad for a limited period of time. The company representative said that although the world situation has many fluctuations, but with the advantage of labor quality, cooperative relationships with countries with labor demand after the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of Vietnamese workers going abroad to work under contracts has increased sharply and stably.
Hai Phong Company is actively recruiting, training and dispatching workers as the demand for labor from other countries increases. In 2023, the Company will support many programs for students with low labor export costs, mainly in the fields of technology and food.
Bui Hoang Anh is a final year student of the Faculty of Automotive Technology, Ninh Binh College of Mechanics. Preparing to graduate, Hoang Anh spends a lot of time getting advice from businesses operating in the field of labor export about the foreign labor market.
"Currently, the domestic labor market is facing many difficulties because many businesses have to reduce production. Therefore, I aim to participate in the foreign labor market, specifically going to Korea. I study auto technology, I may not be able to find a job that matches my expertise, but when I return home with capital, skills and experience, I hope to open my own auto repair shop" - Hoang Anh shared.
To bring overseas job opportunities to many local workers, Kim Son district has focused on propaganda work, mobilizing the active and proactive participation of localities. In particular, priority is given to improving the capacity of village chiefs and representatives of associations and unions because these are the propaganda forces responsible for providing information and advice to help workers get closer to overseas labor opportunities.
Kim Son district also actively coordinates with functional departments to organize capacity building training sessions to help propagandists update support policies for workers going to work abroad for a limited period; help workers fully grasp information about labor export markets such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan, etc.; meet directly with agencies and businesses working on labor export and have their questions answered; listen to the sharing about the lives and incomes of workers who have participated in labor export in some countries, etc. In 2023, the district will have 446 people going to work abroad, an increase of 176 people compared to the assigned plan.
The goal in 2023 is to send 1,400 workers abroad, focusing on markets with good reputation and income. By the end of November 2023, 2,036 people had gone abroad to work, including 285 workers going abroad under the EPS program. With this result, the labor export work has set a new record in the past 10 years.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, affirmed: Currently, labor export is not only a solution to create jobs, increase income, and improve the lives of workers, but it is also an opportunity to learn knowledge, skills and practice skills, foreign language ability, etc., helping workers develop their careers, aiming for high-quality jobs and better income. Therefore, localities, units, and schools need to continue to do better in training and fostering skills to create a new breakthrough in both "quantity" and "quality" for the labor force participating in export in the coming year and the following years.
