A recent leak from leaker Digital Chat Station says: The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature a macro camera with an impressive minimum focus distance of around 10cm and a redesigned camera setup.
Additionally, the phone’s camera module is said to include a red ring design and a new coating for the telephoto lens. Although the leaker did not reveal much about the new coating, it is likely to help reduce flare and improve image detail and sharpness.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra also comes with a new camera kit that aims to enhance the overall user experience and make up for the absence of smooth leather designs in the lineup.
The device has also received 3C certification, confirming support for 90W fast charging. It is also designed as a satellite mobile terminal, capable of standard Tiantong satellite calls and Beidou satellite text messaging. These features position the phone as a versatile tool for urban and remote environments.
Previous sources revealed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is likely to have a high-end LTPO OLED panel, measuring 6.73 inches with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have 2 telephoto cameras. One camera has a Sony IMX858 sensor - appeared on Xiaomi 14 Ultra, using an f/1.8 aperture lens, 1/2.51 size, focal length is 70mm. The other telephoto camera uses a 200MP sensor with 4.3x optical zoom support, 100mm focal length and f/2.6 aperture.
The remaining cameras on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra include a 50MP main sensor with a 23mm focal length and f/1.6 aperture as well as a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The device is IP68+IP69 dust and water resistant and has wireless charging. The battery capacity is said to be between 5,450 mAh and 5,800 mAh.
The product is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025 with HyperOS 2.0 on Android 15.
