Recently, there have been consecutive incidents of trucks crashing into height-restriction barriers on Hoang Sa and Truong Sa streets in Ho Chi Minh City.
On October 25, District 1 authorities (HCMC) coordinated with relevant units to clarify the case of a truck crashing into a height restriction barrier.
Scene of the incident. |
At around 10am the same day, a male driver was driving a truck with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate on Hoang Sa Street, heading from District 3 to Binh Thanh District. When reaching Hoang Hoa Tham Bridge, the truck crashed into a height restriction barrier on the bridge.
The barrier broke, the truck "carried" the barrier and got stuck under Hoang Hoa Tham. The incident caused traffic congestion.
It is worth mentioning that the truck's bed is higher than the frame limit (2.3m).
In August, a truck carrying goods also hit the height limit bar and got stuck under Bong Bridge (connecting District 1 and Binh Thanh). Previously, residents said that recently, there had been two incidents where trucks hit the barrier and got stuck under Bong Bridge.
