Bus 'lying' on the median strip of Highway 1

On the evening of May 19, Binh Trieu Traffic Police Team, under the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police, coordinated with relevant units to resolve the incident and clarify the case of a bus hitting a median strip on National Highway 1.

Accordingly, at around 5:00 p.m. the same day, bus number 19 (Ben Thanh - Ho Chi Minh City National University route) driven by a male driver was traveling on National Highway 1, from District 12 to Thu Duc City.

When approaching Song Than overpass (in Tam Binh Ward, Thu Duc City), the bus crashed into the median strip, knocked down a traffic sign post and stopped. Part of the bus body was on the median strip, leaning out into the middle of the road.

Passengers on the bus were quickly guided and assisted by local residents and traffic police to escape safely. The incident caused heavy traffic congestion in the area.

Upon receiving the news, Binh Trieu Traffic Police Team coordinated with relevant units to be present to regulate traffic, handle the scene, and clarify the cause of the incident.
