Hanoi Xam on Ho Do Inspiration 2024

10 young singers and bands competed in the semi-finals of the Ho Do Inspiration Contest 2024 on the evening of October 25 at the Youth Cultural House. The performances were quite diverse. Among them, traditional Xam combined with contemporary music was quite interesting.

The Ho Do Inspiration Contest 2024 is an important part of the 4th Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival - HOZO 2024. The audience is free to watch and is mainly young people. They watch and dance enthusiastically to the performances.

From more than 100 entries, 20 excellent names entered the semi-finals.

In the first semi-final, there were 10 contestants, either individuals or bands. Each group performed 3 songs.

The performances range from rock, pop, folk rock and a mix of traditional and modern. Each song has its own story, most of which are composed by the contestants themselves, clearly reflecting the personality and style of each band and artist.

In addition, the contestants are also curious because most of them are young and new. With their youthfulness and love of music, the contestants give it their all on stage.

No matter how diverse the colors and messages are, the song is all about youth, dreams and youth.

Like young singer Ha Myo, who combines Xam singing with contemporary music genres such as EDM, pop, and rap, creating new and unique songs. Ha Myo performed three special acts: Folk music, Vietnamese youth according to the country's words , and Xam Ha Noi .

Meanwhile, The Snooze group made the atmosphere burn with I want to say, Normal story and Comrade . This is a group of members who do different jobs and found each other in music.

Contestant Nguyen Hoang Minh Chanh sang and rapped Higher, Southside Warrior, and King quite well.

Chon & band's strength is composing in both Vietnamese and English, creating unique music with a strong personal touch.

The lyrics are full of narrative and a bit of youthful passion through three performances: Bucket List, 68 Pains and Forest .

The D.Dix, the band that stirred up the stage through three songs: Song No. 3, Twenties (20's ), and Gom, brought a new color to the competition.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Le Nhat Nam, group leader, said:

"We prepared for nearly two months for today's performance. When I stood on stage, the energy from the audience made me feel very excited."

When asked Nhat Nam about the atmosphere of the semi-final night, he concluded: "It was great!".

Semi-final night 2 took place on the evening of October 26, continuing the competition of the remaining 10 contestants.

After 2 semi-final nights, the 5 most talented faces entered the final round of Ho Do Inspiration 2024 , organized in conjunction with Tre concert, taking place on the night of November 24 at Nguyen Hue Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

The winner wins the championship title and a chance to perform at HOZO Super Fest 2024.

Ho Do Inspiration is hosted by the Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with the City Youth Union and the City Music Association. Performed by the City Light Music Center, Beyond Communication Joint Stock Company and the Youth Cultural House.
