After checking the progress of removing temporary and dilapidated houses for people and families with meritorious services in Huong Chu and Huong Xuan wards; at the working session, Vice Chairman of Huong Tra Town People's Committee Do Ngoc An said that regarding housing support for people with meritorious services, after adjustment, the town currently has 48 approved households (16 households less than the approved project) . Of which, 8 households are supported to build new houses (1 household less), 40 households are supported to repair (15 households less) with the approved support budget of 2.19 billion VND (adjusted down 0.51 billion VND) from 100% of the central budget. However, to meet the progress, the town People's Committee has advanced the allocated budget of 1.71 billion VND.
Up to now, the town has completed construction and repair of 21/48 houses (1 new house, 20 houses repaired). reached 43.8%. The remaining 27 households (7 new households, 20 repaired households) are being implemented. According to the plan, by June 30, 2025 will complete repair and construction of 48/48 households.

Currently, 14 households in the area have been approved, of which 11 households are supported to build new houses and 3 households are supported to repair. "Presently, Huong Tra has allocated 750 million VND, of which the town budget is 577,749 million VND; the commune and ward budget is 172,251 million VND from 5% regular spending savings. At this time, 5/14 houses have been built and repaired. The remaining 9/14 households are under construction (100% new construction). According to the plan, by May 30, new construction and repairs for 14/14 households will be completed," said Mr. Do Ngoc An.
Acknowledging and appreciating the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Huong Tra town, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee - Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh affirmed that this is one of the important policies to improve the quality of life of the people and enhance social security conditions. This effort not only contributes to building a civilized urban area but also reflects the government's concern and care for the lives of the people, especially households facing housing difficulties.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that Huong Tra should pay more attention and implement more drastically the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, focusing on supporting households in difficult circumstances and creating close coordination between levels, sectors and localities; Strengthen inspection and supervision to ensure progress and quality of works, delays and waste in order to bring long-term stability to the people.

With the goal of completing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30, 2025, the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested that specific instructions be provided to localities in the implementation. These instructions must ensure that the direction and organization of the selection of supported subjects are transparent and fair, with priority given to households in the most difficult circumstances. On the local side, it is necessary to closely coordinate with competent authorities to ensure that eligible subjects have timely and appropriate access to support programs.
“In addition to communicating correct and sufficient information about policies and support programs to people, the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses cannot be successful without coordination between departments, branches, district and commune People's Committees and social organizations. Therefore, units and localities must ensure the effectiveness of communication work, support people in accessing capital sources, support programs and construction technical guidance…”, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized.
