Dai Hung Commune celebrates 20 years of establishment

(QNO) - On January 14, 2024, Dai Hung commune solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the commune's founding (January 27, 2004 - January 27, 2024).

According to the speech at the ceremony, in 2004, Dai Hung commune was established on the basis of separation from the old Dai Lanh commune (according to Decree No. 20/2004/ND-CP of the Government).

After 20 years of establishment, construction and development, up to now, the economic structure of the whole commune is agriculture - forestry accounting for 37.27%; industry - handicraft - basic construction accounting for 32.41%; trade - services accounting for 30.32%. Compared to 2004, the corresponding rates are 64.5% - 13.6% - 21.9%.

Average income per capita by the end of 2023 will reach nearly 50 million VND/person/year. Total state budget revenue in 2023 will reach 32.8 billion VND, an increase of nearly 20 times compared to the time when the commune was first established. Infrastructure has been invested in and built to be more and more spacious and modern, better meeting the requirements of local socio-economic development. Dai Hung was recognized as a commune meeting new rural standards in 2020.

A notable highlight is the spiritual area - the memorial house for heroic martyrs and meritorious predecessors, attached to the green park, the place for the elderly to exercise and children to play, which has been invested in, renovated and built spaciously. The rate of poor households has decreased sharply over the years; up to now, the whole commune has only 27 poor households, accounting for 1.35% of the total number of households (most of whom are social protection beneficiaries).

With many resources, the locality supports the removal of temporary houses for 5-7 households/year. The life of the Co Tu people in Yeu village has changed significantly, with an average income of over 35 million VND/person/year. Dai Hung still has a lot of potential for developing eco-tourism, resorts, and community tourism such as Thai Son hot spring; landmarks such as Hoc Tuong, Hoc Che, Tien well, Ngu Hanh Tien Nuong temple, the Vietnamese heritage tree, Thai Son fruit garden, and community activities of Yeu village people...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hao - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dai Loc district said that the Party Committee of Dai Hung commune has continuously grown in both quantity and quality. When it was first established, the Party Committee of the commune had only 8 branches with 70 members; now it has developed into 14 branches, including 162 members. The national solidarity bloc has been consolidated; the relationship between the Party, the government and the people has become increasingly close, creating a combined strength in building and developing the homeland.

In the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Hao suggested that Dai Hung effectively exploit its existing potential and strengths; call for investment to soon achieve the standards of "Advanced New Rural Commune". Focus on improving education and training; improve the quality of health care for the people; strive to eliminate temporary houses by 2025. Complete and improve the capacity and effectiveness of the management and operation of the government.
