The game began to turn around when Vietnam took the lead 12-11 and then created a 2-point gap 15-13. The gap continued to widen until the end of the match with a score of 25-20 in favor of the Vietnamese team. The winner was captain Thanh Thuy with a tricky drop shot.
Round 2: Vietnam won 25-17 Chinese Taipei
After conceding a goal in the first half, Chinese Taipei returned to the field in a relaxed mood and had no intention of going all out to make a comeback against Vietnam. Perhaps, Chinese Taipei is trying to save their energy for tomorrow's semi-final instead of a do-or-die match with Vietnam. If they are lucky enough to win, they will face Australia or the Philippines, but if they lose to Vietnam, they will face Indonesia.
Therefore, set 2 ended with a quick score of 25-17 for the Vietnamese girls.
