1. Originally from Tam Hai island commune (Nui Thanh) and currently living in Da Nang city, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Ho Thi Kim Thanh still regularly updates news about Quang Nam.
“If I compare now with 50 years ago, I see that Quang Nam has developed a hundred or a thousand times. Just counting from the time the province was re-established until now, everything has developed remarkably, especially the transportation system, ports, airports, hospitals, schools, etc. To achieve this result, besides the sharp leadership of the Party, the consensus and support of the people is extremely important,” Ms. Kim Thanh acknowledged.
At 82 years old, with more than 60 years of party membership, Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thanh spent her entire youth serving the revolution. At the age of 12, she joined the Tam Ky District Party Committee as a liaison.
Before she was 18, she escaped to the war zone to work as a nurse and participate in combat, then worked at the Women's Union of Tien Phuoc district, the Women's Union of Quang Nam province, then worked as Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee - Quang Nam province Front in charge of the enemy's rear area...
After liberation, Ms. Thanh held many positions such as Secretary of Nui Thanh District Party Committee, Secretary of Tam Ky City Party Committee, member of the Standing Committee of Quang Nam - Da Nang Provincial Party Committee...
“During the war, Quang Nam was a fierce land with many losses and sacrifices, but it was also extremely loyal and indomitable. I think the provincial leaders all want and are determined to maintain that tradition.
Personally, I always believe in the development of Quang Nam, believe in the current provincial leadership team with sharp and clear thinking, constantly improving economic and state management skills, especially with the passion to build a stronger Quang Nam" - Ms. Thanh shared.
2. With the achievements of the past 50 years, Mr. Luu Van Chinh - former Secretary of Tien Phuoc District Party Committee expressed his hope and belief that Quang Nam will continue to develop more strongly in the coming time.
According to him, to realize this goal, first of all, at the upcoming Quang Nam Provincial Party Congress, the province needs to select a team of dedicated and capable officials to contribute to building Quang Nam homeland, together with the whole country to realize the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
“We must not only study the morality and ideology of Ho Chi Minh but also learn from the spirit of our patriotic predecessors. We must try to maintain our qualities and morality in the process of leading, directing, and managing cadres in the fields of land, finance, etc. to avoid heartbreaking incidents and the loss of key leaders like in the past.
Of course, everyone knows that it is just a rotten apple spoiling the barrel, so after all, the people still believe in the Party and the team of cadres who are dedicated to the cause of building and developing Quang Nam. I think, with that determination, the goal of building Quang Nam into a prosperous province of the country will soon come true" - Mr. Chinh confided.
