Attending the ceremony were Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh.
Major General Huynh Dac Huong was born in 1922, his hometown is Cam Pho ward, Hoi An city, Quang Nam province. He participated in revolutionary activities early and held many important positions in the army, such as: Deputy Director, Director of the Organization Department - General Department of Politics; Deputy Political Commissar of the Northwest Military Region; Political Commissar of the 959 Command; Political Commissar and Commander of the 959 volunteer army and military experts to help Laos... In 1974, he was promoted to the rank of Major General, holding the position of Political Commissar of Military Region 4.
From 1976 to 1979, Major General Huynh Dac Huong held the position of Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. From 1979 to 1983, he was Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 3. From 1983 to 1988, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
After retiring, Major General Huynh Dac Huong was Secretary General of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Head of the National Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts in Laos.
For his contributions to the cause of national construction and defense and international cooperation, Major General Huynh Dac Huong was awarded by the Party and State two First Class Independence Medals, First Class Military Exploit Medals; First Class Feat Medals, and First Class Freedom Medals by the Lao Government.
Respectfully presenting the 85-year Party membership badge and congratulating Major General Huynh Dac Huong with flowers, Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that today's Party badge awarding ceremony is a respectful recognition of the merits, efforts, and tireless, persistent dedication of comrade Huynh Dac Huong to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; is an honor and pride for the comrade himself and his family; is a common joy for the Hanoi City Party Committee in general and the Hang Ma Ward Party Committee, Hoan Kiem District (where the comrade is currently participating in Party activities) and the Party Committee, government, and people of Hanoi City.
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai also expressed her emotion about the journey of struggle and training of Major General Huynh Dac Huong since she was enlightened by the Party's ideals as well as the process of striving, training and dedication to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai respectfully expressed her deep gratitude for the great contributions of revolutionary elders and heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of defending the Fatherland; and remembered the merits of the great President Ho Chi Minh and the predecessors who founded the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Affirming that over the past 95 years, under the leadership of the Party, our country has increasingly developed, ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with other countries in the world, Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai also expressed deep gratitude to previous generations who have made great contributions so that today's generation can have a peaceful, prosperous and happy life; at the same time, affirming that today's generation will constantly strive to practice and follow the example of previous generations, contributing their enthusiasm and intelligence to the construction of the Capital and the country.
