Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai presents the 85-year Party membership badge to Comrade Huynh Dac Huong.

Attending the ceremony were Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee; and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, Khamphao Ernthavanh.

Major General Huynh Dac Huong was born in 1922 in Cam Pho Ward, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province. He joined the revolutionary movement early on and held many important positions in the army, such as: Deputy Director and Director of the Organization Department - General Political Department; Deputy Political Commissar of the Northwest Military Region; Political Commissar of the 959 Command; Political Commissar and Head of the 959 Volunteer Army and Military Experts assisting Laos… In 1974, he was promoted to Major General and served as Political Commissar of Military Region 4.

From 1976 to 1979, Major General Huynh Dac Huong served as Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. From 1979 to 1983, he was the Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 3. From 1983 to 1988, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

After his retirement, Major General Huynh Dac Huong served as the General Secretary of the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Head of the National Liaison Committee for Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts in Laos.

For his contributions to the cause of national construction and defense, and international cooperation, Major General Huynh Dac Huong was awarded two First-Class Independence Orders and a First-Class Military Merit Order by the Party and State; a First-Class Combat Order, and a First-Class Freedom Order by the Government of Laos.

Respectfully presenting the 85-year Party Membership Badge and congratulatory flowers to Major General Huynh Dac Huong, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that today's Party Membership Badge awarding ceremony is a respectful recognition of the merits, efforts, and tireless dedication of Comrade Huynh Dac Huong to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; it is an honor and pride for Comrade Huynh Dac Huong and his family; and it is a shared joy for the Hanoi City Party Committee in general, and the Hang Ma Ward Party Committee, Hoan Kiem District (where Comrade Huynh Dac Huong is a Party member), as well as the Party Committee, government, and people of Hanoi City.

Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai also expressed her emotion regarding the journey of struggle and training of Major General Huynh Dac Huong since he embraced the ideals of the Party, as well as his dedication and contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai respectfully expressed her deep gratitude for the immense contributions of the veteran revolutionaries and heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national defense; and remembered the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and the pioneers who founded the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Affirming that over the past 95 years, under the leadership and guidance of the Party, our country has increasingly developed and is ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with other nations in the world, Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai also expressed deep gratitude to the previous generations who made great contributions so that today's generation can enjoy a peaceful, prosperous, and happy life; at the same time, she affirmed that today's generation will continuously strive to improve themselves, emulate the previous generations, and contribute their hearts and minds to building the capital and the country.
