Confident, accelerating recovery in the new year

2024 continues to be a year in which industrial production activities are affected by many unfavorable factors, from declining total demand, high input costs of raw materials, materials, and transportation to the reappearance of protectionist policies in many countries in different forms. However, thanks to closely following the guidelines, promoting existing potentials and advantages, combined with incentive mechanisms and policies to support investment attraction, and the efforts of the business community, industrial production in the province has remained stable and achieved a good growth rate, contributing to the completion of socio-economic development goals.

Ngoc Anh Wooden Chopsticks Company Limited, Minh Luong Commune, Doan Hung District specializes in producing chopsticks for export, creating jobs for nearly 100 local workers.

Infrastructure serving industrial production has received investment attention, from the connecting traffic system to the infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters, creating favorable conditions to attract more high-tech, green and environmentally friendly industrial projects. In 2024, the investment in Phu Ha Industrial Park (IP) Phase I was completed, the basic site clearance of Cam Khe Industrial Park was completed, and 8 industrial clusters (ICs) continued to be implemented... contributing to creating more resources for production.

Looking back over the past year, the industrial production sector continued to affirm its role as a "locomotive" in the province's economic growth. The industrial production index (IIP) increased by over 37%, far exceeding the 18.3% increase in 2023. Enterprises in the industry have had many solutions to diversify products and markets, joint ventures and partnerships to adapt to the rapid and unpredictable fluctuations of global trade. Overcoming difficulties and taking advantage of opportunities, many enterprises have prepared their minds for the new year, grasping market trends and having good preparations in terms of human resources and raw materials.

YB Vietnam Co., Ltd., Bai Ba - Dong Thanh Industrial Park, Thanh Ba District specializes in manufacturing vibration motors for mobile phones, products for export to the Korean and Japanese markets.

Toan Cau Xanh Vina Co., Ltd., Hop Hai - Kinh Ke Industrial Park, Lam Thao District specializes in manufacturing high-quality canvas, exporting to European, American and Australian markets with an average output of over 800 tons/month. Mr. Ly Ngoc Cong - Director of the Company said: "In 2024, the inflation situation in major economies will be better controlled, so the Company's production and consumption of goods will grow by about 10% compared to the previous year. However, the markets of developed countries that are the Company's export partners are very concerned about consumer safety, sustainable development, and climate change prevention, thereby creating new standards and regulations related to the supply chain, raw materials, labor, and environment for imported products, forcing businesses to adapt. Therefore, entering the new year 2025, our goal is not only to secure orders but also to orient long-term strategic development with environmentally friendly production criteria, meeting the strict requirements of the international market on green supply chains and sustainable development.

New investment projects, factories expanding in scale, and infrastructure of industrial parks gradually being invested and completed show signs of prosperity in the local industry. Industrial parks have made positive contributions to the growth and development of the province through strongly attracting investment capital, supplementing important capital sources in the total social investment capital, and increasing export turnover. The province's industrial parks have attracted over 165 enterprises to invest, creating jobs for more than 60,000 workers. Based on the development orientation of industrial parks and clusters integrated into the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, related sectoral and field planning, and development orientations of localities, the province has promoted investment promotion, attracting capable investors to invest in infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hanh - Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board said: "The industrial parks have attracted a number of investment projects in high value-added industries such as the production of auto parts, motorbikes, electronic components, renewable energy... The province's industrial parks prioritize attracting production and business projects with industries that are suitable for the province's industrial development orientation, environmentally friendly, high-tech, large-scale projects, capable of contributing a lot to the budget, suitable for the nature of each industrial park. To create momentum for industrial production in the following years, the Management Board will strengthen investment promotion activities, attract potential corporations and enterprises, attract priority industries and fields, and modern industrial projects".

The efforts of enterprises, together with the support of authorities at all levels, will be a solid foundation for Phu Tho industry to continue to affirm its position, making an important contribution to the journey of industrialization, modernization, and deep integration, and is expected to have many breakthroughs in the new year.
