VMware Cloud Launches a Range of Services to Optimize and Secure Multi-Cloud Businesses

VMware announced the next evolution of its VMware Cloud solution, including new versions and features that help customers modernize, optimize, and better protect their organizations.

VMware Cloud's flexibility supports every cloud journey: Customers can choose from five VMware Cloud editions (Essentials, Standard, Pro, Advanced, Enterprise) to modernize their infrastructure and flexibly manage every stage of their cloud transformation journey.

NSX+: New Multi-Cloud Networking, Security, and Developer Services for VMware Cloud: VMware NSX+ is a new cloud operations service suite from NSX for multi-cloud environments (formerly Project NorthStar) that enhances core networking and security capabilities for VMware Cloud.

Increase storage scale and performance, reduce TCO on VMware Cloud: VMware announced VMware vSAN Max, a more scalable, efficient, and cost-effective storage service for VMware Cloud, a new product in the vSAN family, providing up to petabytes of discrete storage.

VMware Cloud enables faster recovery from ransomware attacks: To further help customers reduce downtime, VMware Ransomware Recovery has added the ability to recover multiple VMs simultaneously (available now), and will help customers run production applications in the cloud until the investigation is complete and the on-premises data center has been hardened (expected to be available in Q3 2024).

Enhancing VMware Cloud Operations: VMware announced the Early Availability of a new ESXi lifecycle management service, powered by the cloud in VMware vSphere+. IT administrators will be able to centrally manage upgrades across entire ESXi fleets in distributed, isolated multi-vCenter environments, and complete tasks that previously required hundreds or even thousands of operations, especially in large environments, with just a few clicks.
