Efforts to overcome all difficulties
At the meeting, guests shared their efforts to overcome difficulties in the journey of researching, learning, applying advanced medical technology, developing traditional medicine, as well as their passion for treating and caring for people's health.

A typical example is Hero of Labor, People's Teacher, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Viet Tien, during his 40 years in the medical profession and many years in management positions at the Ministry of Health, or as the head of hospitals with a huge workload and immense pressure, he still spent time examining and treating people; at the same time, researching, updating medical advances and training the next generation of doctors.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Tien shared: From university to working in the hospital, there were many difficult periods, but we always tried to overcome them, especially in learning foreign languages and specialized knowledge, to equip ourselves with the necessary knowledge. Along with that, I am always ready to change my thinking and perception to boldly receive and apply advanced science and technology.

Hero of Labor, People's Physician, Professor, Doctor, National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Anh Tri has worked in the health sector for more than 40 years, nearly 15 years as Director of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. He has built a network of hematology and blood transfusion specialists nationwide. He initiated and successfully organized the "Pink Spring Festival" and "Red Journey" and is considered a leading scientist in Vietnam in blood transfusion and stem cell transplantation technology. Despite his great dedication throughout his life, he simply shared: "All I do is to show gratitude to my teachers and to the people. That gratitude has become the goal and ideal for me to follow throughout my life."
Talking about the difficulties in his medical career, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tri said that he came from a poor family and when he started his career, he often came into contact with poor patients, which motivated him to learn and gain new knowledge. Facing temptations and pitfalls, he always set his own principles, strictly following the law and medical ethics.
“My concept is to study and work to show gratitude to teachers and scientists. Through research, I see that our scientists are very talented, very persistent, very determined, and very patriotic. I always wonder and want to do something to promote those qualities for the next generation,” Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tri shared.

With over 40 years of dedication to the field of pediatrics, Meritorious Doctor Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung is also very passionate about raising awareness of community health care. He believes that health education and guiding people on how to improve their own health are very important. Therefore, even though he is retired, he still visits people in many regions to examine patients and share medical knowledge.
With the same spirit, People's Physician Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh, Chairman of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association, strives to promote his knowledge and expertise in the field of traditional medicine. Under his leadership, the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association has organized many research, training and seminar programs to improve the expertise of oriental medicine practitioners.
Keeping up with advanced science and technology and digital transformation
At the meeting, the audience also heard Prof. Dr. Le Van Quang, Director of K Hospital; Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Sinh Hien, Director of Hanoi Heart Hospital; Associate Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of Xanh Pon General Hospital share about their dedication to the profession, as well as the humanitarian activities that the hospitals where they work have been implementing, helping patients to reduce the hardships in their treatment journey. Typically, K Hospital has deployed the free K2 canteen, providing 500-600 nutritious meals per day for patients and the K3 accommodation for cancer patients.

In particular, although working in different units and at different stages, the common point of the doctors participating in the exchange is that they all highly value the application of modern science and technology in medicine.
For example, Prof. Dr. Le Van Quang, Director of K Hospital, has coordinated the organization of many international conferences and is also nurturing projects of "digitalization in the hospital" to save time for better patient care; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of Xanh Pon General Hospital is the first doctor in Vietnam and one of the two leading doctors in the world in performing single-hole endoscopic technique to treat choledochal cysts...
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee Pham Duc Toan said: For the medical sector, emulation movements have always been actively participated in and responded to by the medical team - the "white-shirt soldiers", and enthusiastically supported by all classes of people and society. Through that, many typical, advanced examples have emerged in treatment, in scientific research, in social work, constantly striving to build a scientific, national and popular Vietnamese healthcare system.

Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee Pham Duc Toan emphasized: Discovering, fostering, summarizing and replicating typical advanced examples in various professions and fields of social life not only has the meaning of encouraging the spirit, recognizing and honoring good people and good deeds, but is also a method of education and setting examples, promoting emulation movements to constantly innovate and develop, creating an important driving force contributing to the successful implementation of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
