Attending the 2023 Vietnam Talent Awards Ceremony were Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, and leaders of central ministries and departments.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Award Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan, Former Member of the Party Central Committee, Former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, Head of the Steering Committee of the Vietnam Talent Awards 2023 shared that with the attention of the Party and State leaders, the Vietnam Talent Awards 2023 with the theme "Honoring talent, inspiring creativity", continues to honor authors and groups of authors with successful research works and products in 5 fields: Digital Technology, Science - Technology, Medicine - Pharmacy, Agriculture and Rural Development; Encouragement of Learning - Self-study to become talented, in which Digital Technology is still the core field.
The highlight of this year’s season is the participation of universities. “These are excellent works, worthy of honor and it can be affirmed that the authors are all talented people of the nation, the national spirit that needs to be continued to be cared for so that they can fully develop their talent and intelligence for the sustainable development of the country” – Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan emphasized.
Digital technology is the core field of the Award with the theme "Connecting data - Creating value", aiming to find technology products that focus on exploiting, using, connecting data to create new values, effective applications, serving the development of industry, digital technology, development of Digital Government, Digital Economy, Digital Society in Vietnam.
Over the years, the Vietnam Talent Awards have contributed to implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, developing high-quality human resources, attracting and employing talents, promoting research transfer, and strongly applying the achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in all areas of social life.
The award has also successfully implemented the motto of promoting “Encouraging learning - encouraging talents - building a learning society”. From nominations from the grassroots professional councils in each field, the 2023 Vietnam Talent Award Council reviewed and selected 11 outstanding works in 5 fields.
In the Digital Technology field alone, this year there were 156 entries, the highest number of entries ever. The entries that received awards at different levels in different fields all met the prescribed criteria: the product must be scientific and creative; highly applicable, have great influence; have good socio-economic efficiency; and have development prospects.
At the Award Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to individuals and groups with outstanding research works and products, in which, the 16th Vietnam Talent Awards Ceremony honored the First Prize to the project "Digitalization and Simulation Software DKS - SINOVA" of DKS Automation Electronic Technology Development Investment Company Limited - in the field of digital technology.
Restarting after a 2-year pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Vietnam Talent Awards have faced a number of objective difficulties, many businesses, groups, and individuals have not actively invested in preparing to compete in the Awards.
However, with the determination and great efforts of the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee, and the support of all levels, sectors, and localities, the Vietnam Talent Award has attracted the participation of more than 400 authors in the fields of Digital Technology, Medicine, Agriculture and Rural Development, and Encouragement of Learning - Self-study to become talented, while creating excitement, encouragement, and mobilizing the young generation of Vietnam to respond, encouraging and mobilizing the young generation of Vietnam to respond to the research movement, creating products and research projects for application in life.
Vietnam Talent Award 2023
1. The examples of Encouragement of Learning - Self-study to become successful were honored: Doctor Dao Viet Thoan with the work "Research, preparation of medicine to treat fat burns and improve the method of using medicine in the process of treating burn wounds for patients"; Mr. Le Phuoc Loc with the work "Multi-purpose pruning scissors"; Mr. Nguyen Van Hai with the work "Eccentric sprinkler head"; Mr. Nguyen Van Ro with the work "Floating plow and farmer's dream shaft"; Ms. Bui Thi Mao with the work "Improving the method of planting and processing high-quality green tea recognized as 5-star OCOP".
2. The authors/groups of authors awarded in the field of Medicine and Pharmacy include: The group of authors Associate Professor, Doctor Do Quang Hung and Master, Doctor Le Hoang Vinh with the work "Aesthetic rhinoplasty using completely autologous rib cartilage (the bridge of the nose is shaped using soft, finely cut rib cartilage)" won the Second Prize; Dr. Pham Anh Tuan and his colleagues with the work "Deep brain stimulation surgery to treat Parkinson's disease" won the Third Prize; Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Hoang Bac and his colleagues with the work "The value of biological markers hTERT mRNA, AFP, AFP-L3, DCP in detecting hepatocellular carcinoma" won the Prospective Prize.
3. The authors/groups of authors awarded in the field of Agriculture include: Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Hoa chaired and participating members Dr. Tran Van Thai, MSc. Le Anh Duc, MSc. Do Xuan Cuong, MSc. Le Dinh Hung with the work "Research on new scientific and technological solutions in the design of works belonging to the Cai Lon - Cai Be irrigation system" won First Prize; Dr. Nguyen Duc Tan, Dr. Le Lap, Dr. Nguyen Thi Tham with the work "Inactivated dual vaccine to prevent swine edema disease and paratyphoid (COLISAL)" won Second Prize.
4. The author awarded in the field of Science and Technology is Dr. Truong Thanh Tung with the work "Multi-purpose pharmaceutical cosmetic cream product with antibacterial, antifungal, wound healing, burn healing, scar healing effects, applied for rapid wound treatment in cases of natural disasters and epidemics" won Third Prize.
5. The Promising and Potential Products Group includes the following projects: "Metric - E-Commerce data platform" project of Data Science Joint Stock Company won the Second Prize; "Weshare - Sustainable fundraising platform from online orders" project of Weshare.asi Limited Liability Company won the Third Prize; "Internet management and safety service in families - VNPT Family Safe" project of Information Technology Company won the Third Prize.
