Establishment of Steering Committee and Organizing Committee of Youth Photography Festival 2025

Accordingly, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong is Head of the Steering Committee of the 2025 Youth Photography Festival.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, is Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.

Mr. Ma The Anh, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is a member of the Steering Committee.

Director Ma The Anh is also the Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Youth Photography Festival.

Deputy Heads of the Organizing Committee include: Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports; Mr. Do Cong Tuan, Executive Committee Member, Deputy Head of Propaganda Department, Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The Steering Committee is responsible for directing the organization of the 2025 Youth Photography Festival to achieve good results and on schedule. The Organizing Committee is responsible for implementing the Steering Committee's instructions and organizing the implementation of all work of the 2025 Youth Photography Festival. The Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee will be dissolved after completing their tasks.

Young Photography Festival is held every 2 years.

The 2025 Youth Photography Festival will be held nationwide, expected to launch in early April 2025 in Hanoi , encouraging new creations with a youthful style, reflecting the breath of contemporary, modern, and dynamic life.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize the 2025 Youth Photography Festival.

Participants include: Vietnamese citizens from 18 to 35 years old (including Vietnamese people living and working abroad) can submit works.

The entries are in two categories: Realistic photography and conceptual photography. The realistic photography category has the theme "The era of national growth", reflecting contemporary life, people, culture, landscapes, nature, the construction and protection of the Vietnamese Fatherland. Works created in the last two years are encouraged.

Conceptual photography has a free theme, the content is about issues that young people are interested in; thoughts, opinions, ideas about life... and other content that focuses on the values ​​of truth, goodness, and beauty. Creation time: There is no specified creation time for conceptual photography works.

The 2025 Young Photography Festival is expected to open and award prizes at the end of August 2025 in Hanoi; live exhibition is expected to last 10 days from the end of August to the beginning of September 2025 in Hanoi; Online exhibition on the internet from September 2025.

The Organizing Committee will select about 160 works submitted by young authors to attend the Festival to organize an exhibition, of which about 17 excellent works will be selected to award prizes. New compositions with a youthful style, reflecting the breath of contemporary, modern, dynamic life are encouraged.

The Young Photography Festival is held every two years to encourage the development of young photographers, contribute to promoting creative activities, and publish works reflecting contemporary life through the lens of young Vietnamese photographers; is an opportunity for young photography enthusiasts across the country to exchange, learn, meet, introduce creative achievements, and supplement the next generation of Vietnamese photography.

Contribute to introducing and promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the domestic and international public. Contribute to encouraging the interest, connection and participation of young people in the art of photography in particular and social issues in general. Help management agencies and the photography industry have an overview and correctly assess the current situation of young photographers and the issues of photo creation among young people in recent times. From there, find the right direction for development and direction for young people who love photography in the period of international integration.
