Honoring 20 outstanding young police faces 2024

This is an event to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025).

Attending the program were General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Bui Quang Huy, and leaders of relevant units.

The program is connected online to 68 points of connection of units under the Ministry of Public Security and Public Security of provinces and cities.

Before the program was held, the Organizing Committee received 125 questions and selected and edited 10 issues and groups of issues in various fields, proposing that the Minister and the First Secretary of the Central Youth Union have a dialogue with the police youth.

At the program, delegates raised many questions related to the orientation of science and technology development, digital transformation in the force; policies to attract and facilitate young officers to participate in United Nations peacekeeping programs; solutions to improve the effectiveness of rehabilitating slow-learning youth; building social housing for young officers and soldiers and the pioneering role of young police officers in preventing and combating drug crimes.

Minister Luong Tam Quang, together with leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Central Youth Union, gave frank and specific answers, proposing many solutions to maximize the pioneering and creative role of young people in the People's Public Security Forces. At the same time, the Minister requested that all levels of the Youth Union in the People's Public Security Forces continue to innovate the work of political and ideological education, ethics and lifestyle education for young people; improve the quality of emulation movements, actively participate in major projects of the Ministry, especially in the application of science, technology and digital transformation.

Also within the framework of the program, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Central Youth Union to launch a contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection. Through the form of an online contest combined with a written contest, the contest promises to attract the participation of a large number of young people nationwide, continuing to promote the movement "National Security Protection" more and more widely.

General Luong Tam Quang congratulated and commended 20 individuals who were honored as "Outstanding Young Police Faces" in the program; recognizing the efforts and achievements of the young people of the People's Public Security Forces in 2024, especially the pioneering spirit in implementing the Government's Project 06, researching, applying science, technology, and digital transformation to serve the work of the Public Security Forces.

General Luong Tam Quang affirmed that young people of the People's Public Security Forces must be the pioneer force in implementing the goals of building a clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security Force.

The Minister of Public Security emphasized that this is an important opportunity for the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to grasp the situation, address the thoughts and aspirations, and orient the ideology of union members and youth, especially at a time when the Ministry of Public Security continues to reorganize the apparatus to ensure it is lean, compact, strong, efficient, effective, and efficient; at the same time, it is an important forum for young people to contribute ideas to building the Party and building a clean and strong Public Security force.

The Minister of Public Security also requested that the Department of Political Work take the lead in guiding the Public Security of units and localities to organize a preliminary review of the directive documents of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security and the Resolutions of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, evaluate the achieved results, seriously point out the shortcomings and limitations, especially in the leadership of Party committees at all levels, the effectiveness of state management of youth in the People's Public Security, the targets and tasks of the Youth Union and the youth movement for the 2022-2027 term, focusing on the 3 breakthroughs that the 22nd Congress of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security has approved... From there, propose tasks and solutions to complete the tasks in the remaining half of the term.
