From global commitment to concrete, practical action

Vietnam is the sixth country globally to be affected by climate change. Per capita greenhouse gas emissions in Vietnam have also increased fourfold this century, maintaining the fastest rate in the world.

In such a context, Vinamilk clearly understands that sustainable development is the core to improve the quality of life and health of Vietnamese people and preserve valuable resources for future generations. The company always strives to find solutions to minimize negative impacts on the environment and effectively use resources and energy in its operations and production.

The Vinamilk Pathways to Dairy Net Zero 2050 action program also demonstrates the company's long-term sustainable development orientation. Vinamilk identifies sustainable development as one of the four strategic spearheads in the 2022 - 2026 period, with the goal of protecting the living environment and bringing additional benefits to consumers. Through the program, the company affirms its pioneering role and accompanies the Government in implementing the Net Zero 2050 commitment and the "National Strategy on Climate Change to 2050".

Vinamilk

The Vinamilk Pathways to Dairy Net Zero 2050 action program focuses on four key aspects, throughout the company's sustainable value chain. It is a systematic, specific roadmap with three milestones to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Vinamilk is the first dairy company in Vietnam to have a factory and farm that are carbon neutral according to PAS2060:2014 standards. This is the result of a “double action”, Vinamilk’s efforts to reduce emissions in production and livestock, while maintaining a green tree fund to absorb greenhouse gases over many years.
