Vietnam Airlines has opened sale of 1.5 million Tet flight tickets.

Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO) will open early sales of nearly 1.5 million seats on the entire domestic flight network for travel from January 13 to February 12, 2025 (ie December 14 to January 15).

This is the first round of ticket sales based on the current flight schedule approval by the authorities. Vietnam Airlines and other airlines will regularly monitor market demand, fleet resources, slot allocation from the Civil Aviation Authority to open the next rounds of sales and widely announce them to people to proactively and conveniently travel at the end of the year.

Peak flights during the 2025 Lunar New Year will be concentrated between the three major cities of Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City with many provinces and cities such as Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Pleiku, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot, Phu Quoc, etc. Passengers can buy tickets for the 2025 Lunar New Year from today, September 16, on the website, mobile application, ticket offices, or official agents of Vietnam Airlines.

For convenient travel and a desired schedule, Vietnam Airlines encourages passengers to proactively plan, book and buy tickets early. At the same time, to avoid buying fake tickets or tickets with inflated prices during the Tet peak season, airlines also recommend customers to buy tickets on the website, mobile application, ticket offices and official agents.

Vietnam Airlines added that the shortage of aircraft due to the engine recall from manufacturer Pratt & Whitney on Airbus A321NEO aircraft is expected to put pressure on the supply capacity during the 2025 Lunar New Year. Vietnam Airlines is actively working with authorities to increase flights, consider leasing more aircraft, as well as speed up the receipt and delivery of new aircraft such as Boeing 787-10, Airbus A320 to Vietnam at the end of the year to maximize transportation capacity and provide more seats for passengers.
