Opportunities to expand cooperation in the defense industry
At the press conference, Major General Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry, said the exhibition will take place from December 8-10 at Gia Lam airport (Hanoi).

The exhibition has a total area of over 50,000 m2 with an indoor and outdoor display area of over 20,000 m2 . Up to now, there have been more than 170 domestic and foreign units and enterprises from 30 countries in the ASEAN region, Asia, Europe, and America registered to have booths at the exhibition.
Major General Nguyen Viet Hung also said that the exhibition is a place for Vietnam to promote and propagate its capacity, technological potential, and weapons and equipment produced by the Vietnamese defense industry to international friends and domestic people, contributing to protecting the Fatherland early and from afar.
"The exhibition also creates conditions for countries, companies, and domestic and international enterprises to introduce and display products and seek opportunities to expand cooperation in the defense industry.
"Learn about the development trends of weapons and technical equipment in the world to propose, select, purchase, produce, and improve weapons and equipment for the army and seek opportunities to export products of the Vietnamese defense industry," Mr. Hung shared.

At the exhibition, domestic and international defense enterprises displayed and introduced combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, and equipment for the navy, army, air defense - air force, cyber warfare, and logistics and technical equipment.
Vietnamese products displayed and introduced at the exhibition include products from agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense, including: General Department of Defense Industry, Air Defense - Air Force, Navy, Military Technical Academy, Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center, Military Telecommunications Industry Group (Viettel) and trading and service companies of the Ministry of National Defense; Department of Security Industry (Ministry of Public Security) research and manufacture.
At the exhibition, the organizers arranged a cultural space, a culinary space, and an exhibition area of “Economy - National Defense in the Digital Age” to display typical milestones of the Vietnam People's Army in each historical period associated with socio-economic development; connecting with the cyberspace exhibition.
People will be able to visit the exhibition.
Colonel Pham Manh Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of National Defense), said the exhibition is open from 9am to 6pm for 3 days, from December 8 to 10.
According to Colonel Thang, people can visit the exhibition for free on December 9-10 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Up to now, 45 delegations have officially registered to visit Vietnam and attend the exhibition, including guests of the Minister and Deputy Minister of National Defense, leaders of military units. Along with that are leaders of the Party, State of Vietnam, leaders of departments, ministries, branches, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and speakers.

In addition, this year's exhibition will be an experience, aiming to be held periodically every 2 years. Including the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.
Within the framework of this year's exhibition, there are many activities, with the main activities: opening ceremony; Vietnam Air Force, Vietnam People's Army special forces perform to welcome the exhibition.
