A representative of the project management board said that due to a number of reasons, the project has not been able to open the entire route to traffic as planned on June 30.

Hanoi plans to open the entire Au Co - Nhat Tan road expansion project to traffic before June 30, 2024. However, according to Tien Phong newspaper reporters at the end of June, the current status of the road is still littered with sand, dirt, and machinery used for project construction. |

According to observations, the Au Co road expansion project from Thang Loi Hotel to Xuan Dieu intersection has been paved and technically opened to traffic. The roadway from the previous 2 lanes for motor vehicles has now been widened from 16.5 to 21 meters - equivalent to 4 lanes for motor vehicles. The road is large, vehicles can move comfortably. However, the road has not been divided into lanes yet. |

Other items such as street lights, trees... are still being implemented and not completed. |

In March 2024, the leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee requested relevant units to focus on construction and complete the project before June 30. At that time, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board also committed to completing the project according to the city's requirements. |

However, with the current construction progress, many people believe that opening the entire project to traffic in the coming days is "unfeasible". |

Regarding the project progress, speaking with Tien Phong newspaper, Mr. Pham Van Duan - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the section from Thang Loi Hotel to Quang An flower market will be basically completed by June 30. The section from the flower market to Lac Long Quan intersection is expected to be completed by July 30, opening the entire project route. |

Regarding the project's inability to open the entire route to traffic in June as committed to the Hanoi People's Committee, Mr. Duân also shared with Tien Phong that the reason was due to the heavy rains recently affecting the construction progress. |
