VGA Junior Tour returns in June 2023

The first leg of the VGA Junior Tour - 1st Leg Trang An Golf & Resort system, co-organized by the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) and the Hanoi Golf Association (HNGA), has successfully concluded in the joy of young athletes and their families. Next June, the VGA Junior Tour will return with a new look, bringing the hottest tournaments to the community this summer.

With this organization, VGA cooperates with Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association (HGA) to organize Stage 2 of VGA Junior Tour - 6th Ho Chi Minh City Open Junior Golf Championship (VGA Junior Tour 2nd LEG - HGA Junior Open 2023).

This tournament will mark the role of the "extended arm" of the Vietnam Golf Association in the Southern region. In addition to the first tournament under the HGA brand, HGA will continue to accompany VGA in organizing all 3 tournaments in the VGA Junior Tour system in the Southern region, promising to create attractive tournaments for young golfers.

Through the tournament, young athletes will have the opportunity to interact with each other as well as have the opportunity to compete in national competitions. At the same time, at the tournament, HGA and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City will also award Le Khanh Hung - the athlete who won the gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games. This will motivate and inspire young people to strive to achieve higher achievements and have a clear development direction in the future.

According to the tournament rules, 80 - 100 young amateur athletes will compete in 6 groups according to age. Groups U15 (13 - 15 years old) Men; U18 (16 - 18) Men; U18 (13-18) Women will compete in stroke play format over 3 rounds of 18 holes (total 54 holes) without cutting to calculate WAGR world ranking. Athletes in groups U9, U12 (10-12 years old) men and women will compete in stroke play format over 2 rounds of 18 holes (total 36 holes).

Stage 2 of VGA Junior Tour - The 6th Ho Chi Minh City Open Junior Golf Championship will take place from June 2 - 4 at West Lake Golf & Villas, Long An.
