The beauty of nature through the photo exhibition of Vietnamese wild birds and animals 2024

TPO – Through the lens of photographers, this photo contest and exhibition introduces beautiful moments of Vietnamese birds and animals in nature to the public. In addition to the beauty visible to the eyes, each image taken from every land will be a vivid story about wild animals.

On October 12, the award ceremony and opening ceremony of the 2024 Vietnam Wild Birds and Animals photo exhibition took place in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is a contest organized by the Vietnam Wildlife Photography Club (VWPC) and sponsored by the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association.

According to the organizers, over the past 10 years, wildlife photography, especially photography of birds and animals in Vietnam, has developed rapidly. Hundreds of photographers have been passionately capturing the beauty of wild birds and animals. Wildlife photography activities have been actively spreading the love of nature and awareness of the community in the conservation of birds, animals and their habitats.

The 2024 Vietnam Wild Birds and Animals Contest was launched with the goal of creating a truly useful, civilized, and friendly nature photography playground between humans and nature, specifically the beauty of Vietnam's wild birds and animals to a large number of domestic and international viewers, arousing the love of nature for wild birds and animals as well as aiming at humanity, for the purpose of protecting, preserving and developing wild animals and plants...

With a launch period of only 45 days (from July 17 to August 30), the contest received 402 works from 117 authors. After the preliminary round, the jury selected 75 best photos from 45 authors to award prizes and display at the exhibition.

At the award ceremony, the organizers announced and awarded first prize to the photo Tonkin snub-nosed monkey by author Chung Van Thanh (Ha Giang).

According to the jury, this photo was carefully invested and showed the photographer's dedication because capturing a photo of a Tonkin snub-nosed monkey is not easy. This endemic primate species is currently very rare and is strictly protected to avoid extinction.

The organizers awarded first prize to the representative of the contest author.

The jury also announced 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 4 consolation prizes and other awards such as Impressive Photo Prize, Beautiful Photo of Endemic Birds, Beautiful Photo of Migratory Coastal Birds, Beautiful Photo of Endemic Animals ... for a number of other authors.

According to the organizers, through the lens of photographers, this photo contest and exhibition introduces beautiful moments of Vietnamese birds and animals in nature to the public. In addition to the beauty visible to the eyes, each image taken from every land will be a vivid story about wild animals and their connection to the diverse ecosystem on the "S-shaped strip of land".
