Gold continues to increase slightly
Survey at 5:00 a.m. on February 7, gold prices on the trading floors of some companies are as follows:
DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 76.15 million VND/tael for buying and 78.45 million VND/tael for selling.
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 76.55 - 78.65 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 76.55 - 78.85 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,035.885 USD/ounce, a difference of 9,935 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 59.097 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 17.203 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Japanese Yen exchange rate continues to slide
Japanese Yen exchange rates surveyed on the morning of February 7 at specific banks are as follows:
At Vietcombank, the buying rate is 159.21 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 168.52 VND/JPY, down 0.02 VND for buying and 0.01 VND for selling. At Vietinbank, the Yen rate decreased 0.43 VND for buying and selling, equivalent to 159.67 VND/JPY and 169.37 VND/JPY. At BIDV, the Japanese Yen rate decreased 0.16 VND for buying and 0.17 VND for selling, respectively reaching 160.26 VND/JPY and 168.74 VND/JPY. At Agribank, the buying and selling rates are 160.94 VND/JPY and 166.61 VND/JPY, up 0.27 VND for buying and selling.
At Eximbank, the buying rate increased by 1 VND and the selling rate increased by 1.02 VND, respectively, to 163.84 VND/JPY and 168.53 VND/JPY. At Techcombank, the buying rate decreased by 0.12 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.11 VND, respectively, to 157.19 VND/JPY and 168.23 VND/JPY. At Sacombank, the buying rate decreased by 0.15 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.19 VND, respectively, to 161.99 VND/JPY and 167.07 VND/JPY.
According to the survey, today Eximbank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Agribank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.
USD turned down slightly
Today (February 7), VCB USD exchange rate adjusted down 10 VND for both buying and selling, world USD decreased slightly after reaching the highest level in 3 months.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank today is adjusted to 23,964 VND/USD, up 5 VND compared to the trading session on February 6.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,112 VND/USD. The State Bank of Vietnam has also brought the USD exchange rate to the buying and selling range of 23,400 to 25,112 VND/USD.
The bank USD exchange rate and foreign exchange rate this morning recorded a series of downward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,160 and a selling price of 24,530, down 10 VND compared to the trading session on February 6. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.
In the world market, the Dollar Index (DXY), measuring the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 104.18 points - down 0.27% compared to the transaction on February 6.
