Architect Truong Van Quang (Institute of Urban and Rural Planning) once analyzed that, with its location at the northern gateway of Quang Nam, intersecting with two urban clusters of Hoi An and Da Nang, and having a system of concentrated industrial parks planned, connecting the craft village system and cultural heritage destinations, Dien Ban is essentially a destination with many strategic advantages, able to attract strong investment in industry, services and tourism.

The "three-gate" location of this area makes it easy to create important trade routes, running from Da Nang to the south, connecting with the western region of Quang Nam, and is also a nucleus of the chain of urban clusters in the key economic region of the Central region (Da Nang - Chan May - Hoi An - Dien Nam Dien Ngoc).

According to consultants, if Da Nang is merged with Quang Nam, Dien Ban's position is even more worthy of attention. Because this place can both connect with Da Nang, take advantage of the advantages of large urban areas to form a chain of nuclear urban areas to the south, essentially attracting strong investment in supporting industries; and can also connect with the ancient town of Hoi An, exploiting the advantages of cultural heritage to create unique tourism strengths.

This explains why in a very short time, when there was information about administrative planning adjustments, Dien Ban quickly became a hot spot attracting investors in urban infrastructure and real estate. A series of new urban projects, residential areas, and high-tech clusters are being formed and strongly deployed in the area, which is a very specific proof.

Looking back at the previous planning of Quang Nam province, Dien Ban was identified as a point of industrial and commercial urban growth with 15/60 communes in the eastern region of Quang Nam, which could become an industrial, commercial, tourism and service center in northern Quang Nam. After the merger, together with Da Nang, Hoi An, Dien Ban will create a new urban core, developing a large area of ​​land, positively comparing with the southern part of Quang Nam, Tam Ky merged with Nui Thanh.

Dien Ban urban area, thus, will further demonstrate its "three-view" strength, with Da Nang in the north as the center of commerce, finance, and services, and Hoi An in the east as the center of tourism, culture, and society, and itself being an area of ​​supporting industry, a landscape urban area for comprehensive events, forming high-quality residential areas associated with traditional craft villages...

A whole development picture will open up from Dien Ban, which is the dynamic development network of the Da Nang - Dien Ban - Hoi An region, including a strip of coastal tourism infrastructure, a central urban system connected with high-tech industrial parks.
