U22 Vietnam competes with Myanmar for bronze medal

(HNMO) - Today, May 16, is the final competition day of the 32nd SEA Games. Vietnamese sports continue to compete in arnis, sports dance, fencing, men's football, judo, sepak takraw, table tennis, weightlifting, wrestling, traditional boating, and kick boxing.

The Vietnamese team is expected to win at least 6 gold medals, thereby approaching the 130 gold medal mark and solidifying the top position for the Vietnamese team, while leaving far behind the second-placed team, Thailand.

The match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Myanmar takes place at 4:00 p.m. today.

The highlight of the competition day is the bronze medal match for men's football between U22 Vietnam and U22 Myanmar taking place at 4:00 p.m.

In the previous semi-final, coach Philippe Troussier and his team lost 2-3 to U22 Indonesia. U22 Myanmar also stopped at U22 Thailand after a 3-0 defeat.

In the most recent meeting, U22 Vietnam defeated U22 Myanmar with a score of 1-0 at SEA Games 31. However, in the most recent match in the knockout round of SEA Games, U22 Vietnam lost to U22 Myanmar with a score of 1-2 at SEA Games 28 (2015).
