Another player from HAGL is Nguyen Van Trieu, 22 years old and 1.88 m tall. Nguyen Van Trieu is not often a starter like Pham Ly Duc, but when HAGL needs to focus on defense and counter high balls, Technical Director (GDKT) Vu Tien Thanh of this team still puts Nguyen Van Trieu on the field.

In the future, if Nguyen Van Trieu continues to do that task well every time he plays, he may have the opportunity to join the U.22 Vietnam team.
Another character with a very good height in the defense of the U.22 Vietnam team in the coming time is goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien (1.91 m). At the U.23 Asian tournament last year, this goalkeeper was still unknown. However, the reality has changed, Tran Trung Kien is now capable of competing for an official position in the U.22 Vietnam team. He will be an important addition to the team's physique.
Faces like goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien, central defenders Pham Ly Duc and Nguyen Van Trieu could be the solution to the problem of preventing high balls for U.22 Vietnam, heading towards SEA Games 33.
If Pham Ly Duc plays alongside Le Nguyen Hoang and Nguyen Manh Hung in the U.22 Vietnam defense, Pham Ly Duc can play a role similar to Luong Duy Cuong at the U.23 Asian Cup last year. That is, Ly Duc will play the role of marking the tallest attacking players on the opponent's side, performing aerial combat duties for coach Kim Sang-sik's football team.
