Tonight, July 26, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27 (1947 - 2024), Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union held a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation solemnly laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives to gain independence and freedom for the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people at the National Martyrs Cemetery of Road 9.
The noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs have created heroic feats; contributing to educating the tradition of indomitable struggle for the young generation today and tomorrow.

After the flower and incense offering ceremony at the central memorial, union members and youths respectfully lit incense sticks and candles on the martyrs' graves.
At the same time, about 5,000 union members and youth simultaneously lit candles in gratitude at 71 cemeteries across the province.

Nguyen Thi Bao Nhu, from Dong Giang Ward, Dong Ha City, shared: “Today, I was able to participate in the candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs at the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road 9. I feel very proud and lucky to be born in peacetime. I will study hard and practice to become a good child, a good student, worthy of the sacrifices of the previous generation.”
