Ha Tinh youth light candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs

The candles were lit to show the gratitude of the young generation of Ha Tinh towards the heroes and martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence of the nation and to protect the Fatherland.

On the evening of July 26, at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Hong Linh Town , the Town People's Committee coordinated with the Town Youth Union to organize a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023). Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of provincial and Hong Linh Town departments, branches and sectors, and more than 100 youth union members.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, delegates and youth union members lit candles and offered incense to each grave, expressing the morality of “remembering the source of water when drinking” and gratitude for the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs for the cause of national liberation and reunification. The candle lighting ceremony to honor heroic martyrs demonstrates the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", expressing deep gratitude for the great sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers.

On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), on the evening of July 26, at Nui Nai Martyrs Cemetery (Ha Tinh City), Ha Tinh City Youth Union, Provincial Youth Union of Agencies and Enterprises and Ha Tinh University Youth Union held a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs.

Nui Nai Martyrs Cemetery is currently the resting place of nearly 1,500 martyrs.

Each incense stick and candle lit by the members is a deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The program "Lighting candles in gratitude" is a reminder for every youth union member about the tradition of patriotism, national pride, and the responsibility to live, study, work, and protect the Fatherland, worthy of the sacrifices of previous generations.

Offering candles and incense, the young people promised to continue promoting the nation's revolutionary tradition, striving to study and work, contributing to building their homeland to become increasingly prosperous.

Also on the evening of July 26, at the Huong Khe District Martyrs Cemetery, Huong Khe District Youth Union chaired a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs.

The ceremony was attended by district leaders, 300 youth union members, children, officers and soldiers and many local people.

In the sacred atmosphere, local leaders, cadres, soldiers, youth union members and relatives of the families offered wreaths and lit candles on the graves to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting the Fatherland.

Huong Khe Youth Union members offered flowers, burned incense, and placed candles on each grave, expressing their sincere remembrance and infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, making Vietnam's mountains and rivers famous.

On this occasion, the organizing committee and coordinating units also presented 20 gifts worth 20 million VND to war invalids, sick soldiers, and martyrs' relatives in difficult circumstances in the area.

Also tonight, other localities in the province held candlelight ceremonies to pay tribute to heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023).

At the Ky Anh town martyrs cemetery, more than 200 union members also offered flowers and incense to each grave to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting the Fatherland.

In Thach Ha district, district leaders along with more than 200 youth union members, children, cadres, soldiers and a large number of local people respectfully offered incense to the graves of heroic martyrs at the district's Martyrs Cemetery.

Youth Union members lit candles and offered incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at Nghi Xuan District Martyrs Cemetery.

On this occasion, in Duc Tho district, along with the candle lighting ceremony, the organizing committee also presented 36 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to war invalids, sick soldiers, and martyrs' relatives in difficult circumstances in the area.
