On the afternoon of April 13, the red carpet for the closing ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival began welcoming artists and celebrities before 6 p.m.
On the red carpet, Mr. Kim Dong Ho - honorary president of HIFF 2024 - congratulated the Ho Chi Minh City government, Vietnamese filmmakers and other countries for the successful organization of the film festival.
Attending the red carpet were People's Artist Kim Cuong, Meritorious Artist Thuy Lien, director Xuan Phuong, Mr. Tom Cross - Oscar-winning film editor for Whiplash and La La Land... and many other Vietnamese artists.

People's Artist Kim Xuan and veteran screenwriter Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc also posed on the red carpet early. Artist Kim Xuan praised that although this was the first time HIFF was held, it was very grand, especially the red carpet was very long so that the artists could walk comfortably.
Actress Kieu Trinh (film Buffalo Wool Season ) expressed that this is an opportunity for young people to exchange internationally and shine.
Miss Tieu Vy and Miss Xuan Hanh - two of the film festival's media ambassadors - were the first to arrive.
Tieu Vy was impressed because she got to enjoy good films at the film festival, while Xuan Hanh said she enjoyed the Music in Film concert on Nguyen Hue Street the most. She got to listen to classic Vietnamese and international film songs.
