According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in the Russian Federation, on August 30, the magazine of the Center for Geopolitical Forecasting, with the website address geofor.ru, published an article by author Anton Bredikhin, a senior expert of the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia, assessing the fight against corruption and high-level personnel adjustments in Vietnam. This is a magazine that focuses on publishing political and current affairs analysis and commentary by prestigious scholars in Russia. The article on geofor.ru titled "Vietnam: The fight against corruption and neutrality" emphasized that the large-scale fight against corruption in Vietnam has not only not caused instability in the domestic political situation, but on the contrary, thanks to resolute actions against corruption, Vietnamese leaders have affirmed the path of building a capable and strong government apparatus and strengthening people's trust in the Communist Party of Vietnam, aiming to build a transparent and healthy economic environment. To implement that policy, Vietnam pays special attention to training highly qualified personnel, along with comprehensive inspection and supervision. In the economic field, author Bredikhin affirmed that the active and resolute fight against corruption has contributed to a positive economic development in the region. With rapid economic development and relatively low labor costs compared to regional standards, Vietnam attracts more and more foreign investment every year. In the first 6 months of this year, Vietnam's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 6.42%, second only to the 6.58% increase in the first 6 months of 2022 in the entire 2020-2024 period. Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.38%, contributing 5.96%; the industry and construction sector increased by 7.51%, contributing 44.28%; The service sector grew by 6.64%, contributing 49.76%. In its economic development orientation, in 2020, the Vietnamese Government announced a national digital transformation strategy, aiming to increase the proportion of the digital economy from 14% to 20% by 2025. To achieve this goal, authorities are working to create appropriate infrastructure and ensure cybersecurity, as well as build legal management mechanisms and train qualified personnel. Vietnam's technology ecosystem has grown exponentially, turning the country into a dynamic hub for innovation and software development. Typically, the financial technology sector in Vietnam is growing due to the high level of mobile information application and increasing adoption of digital payments. This sector is expected to reach a value of 7.8 billion USD by 2025 and will grow at an average annual rate of over 30% during the period from 2020 to 2025, bringing significant opportunities for investors. In such a context, on August 3, the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam elected Comrade To Lam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. When speaking about the priorities in his new position, the new General Secretary of Vietnam emphasized that the work of Party building and rectification, and the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity will be carried out according to the motto "non-stop, no forbidden zones." This viewpoint brings the expectation that the investment environment in Vietnam will become increasingly transparent, healthy and predictable, bringing benefits to international investors, including Russian investors. Regarding the relationship between the Russian Federation and Vietnam, the author highly appreciated Hanoi's consistent policy of valuing and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership with Moscow. The article also quoted the assessment of a number of Vietnam studies experts in Russia, saying that the election of Comrade To Lam as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam will further promote the country's development as well as the development of relations between the two countries.
