Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School, Thu Duc City lowers admission scores

On July 15, the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City announced additional enrollment for grade 6 at Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School. Accordingly, in the 2024-2025 school year, Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School will enroll additional students with admission scores of 57 points or higher.

The subjects participating in the additional admission exam are students who are actually residing in Thu Duc City; have participated in the entrance exam for grade 6 at Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School for the 2024-2025 school year; no exam has a score of 0.

Time to receive admission documents from 8:00 a.m. on July 16, 2024 to 5:00 p.m. on July 19, 2024 at Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School.

Additional admission documents include birth certificate (copy); student identification code notification (Form 1 Circular 59/2021/TT BCA) or document showing information about place of residence (Form CT01, CT-07, CT-08).

It is known that this year, Thu Duc City has 2,900 students registered to take the survey for grade 6 at Hoa Lu Secondary School, Binh Tho Secondary School and Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School. These are schools implementing the advanced integration model.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, the survey is designed with two parts:

Multiple choice test (in English), 30 minutes. Students answer 20 multiple choice questions about natural sciences, social sciences and common sense.

Essay section, test time 60 minutes, content includes math and logical thinking, reading comprehension and writing, English.

Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School has the highest admission score.

On June 27, Thu Duc City announced the admission scores for grade 6 of three secondary schools that recruit students using a student ability test.

Of which, Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School has an admission score of 59.25 points. This is the secondary school with the highest admission score among the 3 secondary schools that recruit students by survey.

Coming in second is Hoa Lu Secondary School with an admission score of 53.25 points; Binh Tho Secondary School with 49.50 points.
