University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Ton Duc Thang University announce admission methods

In 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCM City will enroll 3,799 students for 37 training majors in 3 regular programs: standard program, international standard program and English enhancement program.

This year, the school will enroll for the first time in three training majors: Korean Business, International Studies and Arts.

University of Social Sciences and Humanities uses 5 admission methods, including:

Method 1: direct admission, priority given to direct admission, 1-5% of total enrollment target.

- Direct admission, priority admission according to the regular university admission regulations.

- Priority is given to direct admission of the best candidates from high schools in 2024 (according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University).

Method 2: Priority admission according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University, 15-20% of total quota.

Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school exam, 40-55% of total enrollment target.

Method 4: Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2024, 35-50% of total enrollment target.

Method 5: Priority is given to students who are members of provincial or municipal teams participating in national excellent student competitions or who won first, second, or third prizes in provincial excellent student competitions; candidates who graduated from foreign high school programs; candidates with achievements in social, artistic, and sports activities, 1-5% of total enrollment quota.

- Priority is given to students who are members of provincial or municipal teams participating in national excellent student competitions or who won first, second, or third prizes in provincial excellent student competitions.

- Admission is based on high school academic results combined with IELTS, TOEFL iBT certificates or Vietnamese language proficiency for candidates graduating from foreign high school programs.

- Admission is based on high school academic results for candidates with excellent achievements, especially outstanding in social activities, arts and sports.

Ton Duc Thang University recruits 6,500 students for training programs/majors according to 4 admission methods - according to the 2024 enrollment information just announced by the school.

Accordingly, in 2024, Ton Duc Thang University plans to enroll about 6,500 university-level students for 40 standard programs, 19 high-quality programs, 12 university programs in English, 9 programs at Khanh Hoa branch and 12 international joint training programs.

Admission methods of Ton Duc Thang University include:

- Method 1: Considered based on high school learning results (report card)

- Method 2: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2024

- Method 3: Direct admission, priority admission according to Ton Duc Thang University's regulations

- Method 4: Admission based on the results of the 2024 capacity assessment test of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

In addition, the school also conducts direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Admission plan :

+ Method 1: Considered based on high school learning results

a. Subject:

- Subject 1 : Candidates who are grade 12 students at high schools that have signed a cooperation agreement with the school and graduated from high school in 2024 (the international training cooperation program admits candidates who graduated from high school from 2020 to 2024, except for majors associated with universities in the Czech Republic that only accept candidates who graduated from high school in 2024).

- Subject 2 : Candidates who are grade 12 students at high schools that have not signed a cooperation agreement with the school and graduated from high school in 2024 (the international training cooperation program admits candidates who graduated from high school from 2020 to 2024, except for majors associated with universities in the Czech Republic that only accept candidates who graduated from high school in 2024).

b. Registration time:

- From April 1 to June 15: Candidates in group 1 register, adjust their profile and update their 12th grade academic records.

- From May 20 to June 15: Candidates in category 2 register and adjust their application.

- June 18: deadline for candidates to pay admission fees online on the system.

+ Method 2: Admission based on 2024 high school exam results

Candidates register for admission according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

+ Method 3: Direct admission, priority admission according to school regulations.

- Registration method and time are in accordance with regulations and announcements of VNU-HCM.
