Ton Duc Thang University awards a "huge" sum of money for a scientific publication

Ton Duc Thang University has just announced a policy to attract domestic and foreign experts and scientists to work and build strong research groups.

Scientists who are lecturers and register for scientific research will receive great incentives in addition to their monthly salary. The university also rewards 360 million VND for a scientific publication.

Accordingly, the school attracts experts and scientists who are high-quality personnel groups including professors, associate professors, doctors in fields suitable to the school's training needs, experts and scientists with doctoral degrees or higher who are capable of scientific research, and personnel groups to carry out management work according to the school's job position project (appointment to leadership and professional management positions).

Specifically, in addition to income and current school regulations, those who are eligible for recruitment will enjoy additional income, preferential policies, and allowances. Prestigious professors, associate professors, experts, and scientists will be given priority in consideration for office space and accommodation at the school's official residence.

In addition to the income level according to the school's regulations, the additional attraction allowance is applied up to 30 million VND/month for professors, 20 million VND for associate professors and 10 million VND for doctors continuously for 24 months from the date of working at the school.

In addition, experts and scientists who are researchers and assistant researchers of the school are entitled to monthly academic title and degree allowances of 8 million VND (professor), 6 million VND (associate professor) and 3.5 million VND (doctor).

In particular, the school has preferential policies for scientists with high citation indexes with a level of up to 10 million VND/month. Scientists who are lecturers who have registered for scientific research also enjoy great incentives in addition to salary, with remuneration for each scientific publication up to 360 million VND.

This policy was issued by Ton Duc Thang University right after organizing a conference to deploy regulations on scientific research and collect opinions on scientific and technological activities for the 2023-2024 school year.

Mr. Tran Trong Dao, President of Ton Duc Thang University, affirmed the orientation of developing the school into a research university, so scientific research activities are always given attention and focus.

On the other hand, the school issued a series of new regulations and policies on scientific research to promote scientific and technological activities, especially focusing on finding solutions to improve the effectiveness of scientific research associated with teaching and innovation, and implementing digital transformation applications in the management of scientific research activities towards international standards.

Mr. Tran Trong Dao hopes that teachers will be the core to promote scientific and technological activities, spread information and policies of the school so that lecturers, researchers and workers can clearly understand the policies of the school, thereby unifying to carry out the common tasks of the school.

Ton Duc Thang University currently has two international scientific journals in English, published globally: Journal of Information and Telecommunication (JIT) and Journal of Advanced Engineering and Computation (JAEC).

The school's lecturers have published more than 1,800 scientific articles in ISI and Scopus journals. The school has also been granted 15 patents.
