• FOCUS ON SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL TASKS IN A PRACTICAL DIRECTION

According to the provincial Department of Science and Technology, from 2021 to present, the province has organized and managed 166 tasks of research, application and transfer of science and technology, reaching 88.3% of the set plan. Notably, investment funding for research and application of science and technology accounts for 46% of the total allocated science and technology career funding. Of which, 63% of application and transfer projects are selected for implementation in accordance with actual conditions and people's receptivity, especially in districts.

The projects have brought about many outstanding results, such as training and coaching for over 100 technicians, providing technical guidance to hundreds of people and implementing more than 110 models of applying technical advances.

Research topics have also achieved important achievements, with 68% focusing on the fields of agriculture and processing technology. Many studies have helped solve urgent local problems, such as plant pest management, restoration of native plant varieties, conservation of rare genetic resources, handling climate change issues, and preservation of unique cultural and historical values.

• PROMOTE TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION AND TRANSFER

In addition to research, Lam Dong province has also implemented application projects to bring science into practice. Many models of smart agriculture, organic agriculture and circular economy in agriculture have been built and replicated. Projects applying information technology in management, production, or environmental pollution treatment technology are also being strongly implemented.

In particular, the transferred technical advances have created effective models in the production of vegetables, flowers, industrial crops, and fruit trees - areas that are highly characteristic of Lam Dong. These models not only help improve productivity and product quality, but also contribute to minimizing negative impacts on the environment, towards sustainable development.

Efforts in scientific research and technological development in recent times have partly helped Lam Dong solve many urgent problems, from economic, social to environmental. The application of advanced technologies in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 not only helps improve the province's competitiveness but also opens up many new development opportunities.

Determining the combination of scientific research, technology application and innovation not only creates a strong driving force for socio-economic development but also contributes to improving the quality of life of the people of the province. In the coming time, Lam Dong will continue to increase investment, set many plans and goals to bring science and technology into all areas of life.
