On this occasion, BUV was awarded the EDGE Advanced Certification for phase 2, following the phase 1 certification in November 2024 (EDGE is an international green building certification developed by IFC - a member of the World Bank).
Along with the expanded space, BUV's new campus phase meets the "tripod" of design: optimizing teaching functions, modernizing technology, and sustainable development.
In terms of functionality, the two complex buildings integrate a series of modern functional rooms, meeting international educational facility standards. The rooms are classified by function, meeting all needs.
Professor Wendy Thomson - Vice-Chancellor of the University of London - announced the decision to elevate the cooperation between BUV and the University of London from a group of more than 100 recognized teaching centers to a group of a small number of international partners globally of this university.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Education and Training) - said that Vietnam strives to bring education to the group of advanced countries in the region by 2030 and in the world by 2045.
The Ministry of Education and Training wishes to develop an international higher education sector and gradually make English the second language in schools. The education sector attracts foreign investment into Vietnam, including prestigious schools, to promote high-quality education; encourages domestic higher education institutions to cooperate with foreign countries, and attract international students and trainees to study.
Vietnam has more than 240 higher education institutions, but only more than 70 private higher education institutions, the number of foreign higher education institutions is very small, while the demand is very high. BUV has demonstrated its capacity in higher education in Vietnam.
British Ambassador to Vietnam Ian Frew said that this expansion not only improves the quality of training but also strengthens the deep and growing relationship between the UK and Vietnam in the field of education.
Professor Raymond Gordon - Principal and President of BUV - shared that the constantly expanding 5-star standard campus has reinforced the school's commitment to providing an accredited British educational environment, aiming to create practical impact, fully equipping young people with skills and knowledge to succeed in a volatile world.
