TrueDoc is making a strong move to bring many quality healthcare services to Vietnamese users. This is also a stepping stone for the company to become a unicorn in the future.

Along with the investment from TNB Aura Scout Venture Fund, TrueDoc (formerly Doctor Anywhere Vietnam) also merged with AiHealth. This move brings TrueDoc into the Vietnamese healthtech race.

TrueDoc officially entered Vietnam in mid-2019. Two years ago, the startup raised $65.7 million. This series C round has pushed TrueDoc's total capital value to more than $104 million, led by Asia Partners with the participation of Philips Ventures, OSK - SBI Ventures and existing investors including Square Peg, EDBI, IHH Healthcare...

Amidst the vibrant wave of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the Vietnamese healthcare industry with many big names from hospitals - clinics to pharmaceuticals, TrueDoc attracted attention from the community when it successfully carried out two mergers and capital raising deals.

This “double” marks an unprecedented merger in the medical technology sector.

Aiming to build a comprehensive healthcare system, since its launch, TrueDoc has been constantly looking for opportunities to expand its portfolio and improve the quality of healthcare services. That is why AiHealth, with its technology application and experienced programmers, is the right piece to help TrueDoc enhance its utility, bringing technology into the existing service platform to improve customer experience.

TrueDoc (Doctor Anywhere) was one of the largest private equity funding rounds in the healthtech sector in Southeast Asia.
TrueDoc (Doctor Anywhere) was one of the startups with the largest private capital call round in the healthtech sector in the Southeast Asian market in 2021.

AiHealth was founded in 2020 under the Kim Dental ecosystem. This is an online technology platform that provides users with health care services.

In 2021, TNB Vietnam Scout and a number of angel investors in Southeast Asia also invested in Pre-Series A round in AiHealth.

After merging with AiHealth, TNB Aura Scout also invested pre-seed funding into TrueDoc. The amount was not disclosed, TrueDoc will use this capital to optimize the technology platform, develop services, expand scale and network to reach and increase the number of users.

TNB Aura Scout was founded by TNB Aura - a Singapore-based venture capital fund, focusing on finding investment opportunities in early-stage startups in Southeast Asia.

TNB Aura Scout's choice to join hands with TrueDoc creates many expectations for a breakthrough in the second half of 2024.

Mr. Le Ngoc Hai, Director of TrueDoc, affirmed that there will be enough potential to build a comprehensive medical ecosystem that brings outstanding quality.

Healthcare technology has always been a field that attracts a lot of resources even though the "capital calling winter" is considered to show no signs of ending in Vietnam.

This proves the attraction and open potential of this field. However, in recent years, no name has risen to become a healthtech “unicorn” in Vietnam. In that context, TrueDoc receiving investment from TNB Aura Scout has become a concern and is expected to become a new bright star in the Vietnamese health technology sector.

According to Mr. Joe Zhang, representative of TNB Aura, medical technology in Vietnam is a field with great potential and still has many gaps to exploit. Although many companies have shown efforts in exploring and developing this field with many different business models, TrueDoc possesses its own values that are essential to bring benefits as well as complete the overall medical technology picture.
