Dismantling a group that buys, sells, and uses people under 16 for pornographic purposes

On August 31, Dong Nai Provincial Police said that they had coordinated with the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) to deploy a project to arrest 15 subjects to investigate and clarify the acts of: human trafficking, using people under 16 years old for the purpose of pornography, indecent assault, and illegal trading of bank accounts.

The ringleaders are Nguyen Ngoc Duy (28 years old, residing in Dong Nai province), Huynh Ngoc Thuan (26 years old, from Tien Giang province), Nguyen Xuan Viet (30 years old, from Ho Chi Minh City), and Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (31 years old, residing in Dong Nai province).

In August 2024, the Criminal Police Department of Dong Nai Province Police discovered a group of people in the area who were trafficking people, using people under 16 years old for pornographic purposes, operating very sophisticatedly, hiding in conditional business establishments.

After that, Dong Nai Provincial Police coordinated with Department 5 - Criminal Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Long An Provincial Police to simultaneously deploy crime-solving teams in Bien Hoa City, Trang Bom District (Dong Nai Province), Ho Chi Minh City and Long An Province.

At the NG massage establishment in Tan Mai ward, Bien Hoa city, the police arrested Duy, Thuan, Viet and Ha for using people under 16 years old for the purpose of pornography and trafficking of people under 16 years old; arrested 1 subject for sexually abusing a girl under 16 years old (an employee of the establishment).

At the same time, 10 subjects were arrested for illegally buying and selling bank accounts led by Nguyen Xuan Viet and Le Thi Lanh (35 years old, residing in Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province), and many exhibits related to the subjects' crimes were seized.
