On the morning of November 22, the Organizing Committee of the activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province held the opening ceremony of the Exhibition of socio-economic achievements to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024); the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

The exhibition space on this occasion includes images, documents, and artifacts about: Dak Lak's history through the ages; outstanding and comprehensive achievements over 120 years of formation and development of Dak Lak province in terms of culture - society - education - health; economy - infrastructure; 35 years of building a national defense foundation (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024) and the province's armed forces through 80 years of building, fighting, and growing.
In particular, there is the Thac Hai Stone Drill Collection, the first national treasure of the province, with a special exhibition entitled Thac Hai - Heritage on the Ea H'leo River.
In addition, there are a number of indicators and solutions for socio-economic development of the province until 2030, with a vision to 2045; planning options for the district and sub-district areas; cultural and conservation programs and projects; priority investment in sports and physical training in the province; priority investment in trade, service and tourism projects for the period 2021 - 2030 with a vision to 2050...

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha said that the 120-year journey has been full of difficulties and challenges in building and developing the homeland. From a wild and poor land, Dak Lak has grown strongly, becoming one of the fairly developed provinces in the Central Highlands and the whole country. Industrial zones and transport infrastructure are increasingly expanding, especially with its strategic location in the Central Highlands, Dak Lak is also an important connection point in the supply chain and trade. Hydropower, health and education projects have also been strongly invested in, contributing to improving the quality of life for the people.

Along with economic development, the province pays special attention to national defense and security. After the country was liberated, Dak Lak province overcame many difficulties, firmly protected national defense and security, dealt with hostile forces and was awarded many noble medals by the State: the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces", awarded the Gold Star Medal, Ho Chi Minh Medal, Thanh Dong Medal, Military Exploit Medal, First, Second, Third Class... The combination of economic development with national defense consolidation has created a strong national defense and security posture, protecting stability and sustainable development for the province in the new era - the era of national growth.

The exhibition "Dak Lak province's socio-economic achievements in celebration of the 120th anniversary of the province's founding; 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day" aims to review the heroic traditions of the nation, our army always successfully completes all tasks assigned by the Party and State, constantly builds a politically strong, disciplined, elite and gradually modern army; trains discipline, combat readiness, not to be passive or surprised by any situation in the process of building and defending the country.

With the achievements and results obtained in the work of national defense over the past 35 years, the core role of the army in advising, building and consolidating a strong national defense, building a national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture, especially in strategic and key areas, has been affirmed.
This is not only an opportunity for us to review historical traditions and achievements, but also an opportunity for the younger generation to understand more about the rich and unique culture of our homeland, thereby preserving and promoting it together in the new era.
In particular, in this exhibition, people and visitors can also admire the “Thac Hai Stone Drill Collection” - the first national treasure of Dak Lak province with the thematic display “Thac Hai - Heritage along the Ea H'leo River”. This is not only the pride of Dak Lak people, but also a testament to the historical, cultural and thousand-year-old value of this land.
“After 120 years of formation and development, although still facing many difficulties and challenges, thanks to the attention of all levels and sectors and promoting the potentials and advantages of the land rich in historical and cultural traditions, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province are united, enhancing the will of self-reliance and self-improvement, striving to compete and be creative in labor, production, applying scientific and technological achievements in the new era, determined to successfully complete the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, striving to “Build Dak Lak province rich, beautiful, civilized and unique”, Comrade Nguyen Tuan Ha emphasized.
The exhibition takes place from now until the end of 2024 at Dak Lak Museum.
