Piloting smart urban construction in Nha Trang

On January 27, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and FPT Corporation signed a cooperation agreement to promote comprehensive digital transformation in the 2021-2025 period, with the goal of making Khanh Hoa one of the leading provinces in the country in digital transformation with three pillars: digital government - digital economy - digital society.

One of the key programs that the two sides will quickly implement is to survey, evaluate and consult, and pilot the construction of a smart urban model in Nha Trang City towards effectively controlling the COVID-19 epidemic and managing and developing the economy and society using technology.

In addition, the two sides will also coordinate to research, evaluate and advise on the development of concentrated information technology zones (clusters) and education and training complexes in Khanh Hoa province, creating a driving force to promote digital economic growth.

Sharing at the online signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh - Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee - hoped that FPT would advise and design digital transformation models and platforms and identify key programs, plans and priorities in implementation to bring the highest efficiency.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation - said that FPT commits that this cooperation agreement is not only limited to the development of digital economy, digital society, and digital government, but is a comprehensive cooperation from planning to implementation towards the goal of both promoting economic growth and improving the quality of life of the people.

"FPT wishes to call on and connect domestic and foreign corporations here to join hands for the future of Khanh Hoa in the coming time, a future associated with digital transformation. That future focuses on the people, with the desire that Khanh Hoa people live in a green environment, have good jobs, and receive good healthcare and education services," said Mr. Binh.

Previously, FPT and McKinsey & Company Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the Department of Planning and Investment of Khanh Hoa province signed an agreement to develop a planning plan for Khanh Hoa province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, aiming to turn Khanh Hoa into a major maritime economic center, tourism and service center of the country by 2025.
