The National Assembly's supervisory delegation worked with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province on human resource development.

On the afternoon of April 9, the National Assembly Standing Committee's Supervisory Delegation led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa - Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs worked with the Provincial People's Committee on human resource development to meet the requirements of socio-economic development. Working with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of relevant departments and branches. According to the report of the Department of Home Affairs, by the fourth quarter of 2024, Khanh Hoa province has a population of more than 1.44 million. The number of people of working age is nearly 561,000; of which more than 553,000 workers have jobs, 81% of whom have been trained. Currently, the province has 4 universities, 2 university campuses and many projects being invested in expansion. The rate of lecturers with post-graduate degrees is more than 90%, the quality of training is increasingly improving, attracting more and more students from inside and outside the province. In the period of 2021 - 2024, in addition to the university-trained workforce, Khanh Hoa has recruited and provided vocational training for more than 120,000 people...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan emphasized that the province always identifies the development of high-quality human resources as an important factor in the socio-economic development of the province. The work of propaganda, dissemination, and raising awareness of the position, role and importance of vocational education and training of highly skilled human resources is regularly carried out in many forms, creating a strong change in the awareness and actions of cadres, civil servants, public employees and people of all walks of life. Through the meeting, the province will review and correctly assess the current status of human resource quality, and at the same time have a practical basis to plan and develop specific projects, programs and policies to promote potentials, advantages and overcome existing limitations, gradually improving the quality of human resources, serving the socio-economic development of the locality.

The members of the monitoring delegation discussed and requested the province to clarify a number of issues regarding the province's specific policies to attract high-quality human resources in the locality; short-term and long-term solutions to overcome the shortage and imbalance of labor; human resource training plans in the public sector to develop in line with the orientation; retraining to meet job requirements; solutions to cope with unemployment due to restructuring of the organizational apparatus, etc.
