On June 16, Ngu Hanh Son District Police, Da Nang City detained Pham Dinh Huy (25 years old, residing in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District) for illegal possession and trafficking of drugs.
Previously, in March, the District Police discovered a large-scale drug trafficking ring operating across provinces, so they established Project 523K to combat it.

Pham Dinh Huy is under criminal detention.
On June 14, when discovering that Huy had just returned from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang and was likely carrying a large amount of drugs, the task force decided to crack the case. When Huy appeared at Group 53, Hoa Hai Ward (Ngu Hanh Son District), he was immediately controlled and arrested by the authorities.
The seized evidence included 1 kg of ketamine, 1,000 ecstasy pills (weighing about 700 grams), 27 packages of drugs disguised in coffee packages (weighing about 300 grams), 1 pistol, 24 bullets, 1 pair of handcuffs, 1 dagger, 1 pepper spray, some jewelry and 130 million VND in cash.
