Ho Chi Minh City recruits more than 2,200 public grade 10 students

Phong Phu High School (Binh Chanh District) needs to recruit the most with 300 students, followed by schools such as Nguyen Van Linh (District 8), Nguyen Van Tang (Thu Duc City), An Nhon Tay (Cu Chi District).

Nguyen Thuong Hien High School (Tan Binh District) recruited 40 additional students, Phu Nhuan High School (Phu Nhuan District) recruited 12 students and Nguyen Du High School (District 10) recruited 19 students.

Students can register for additional admission if they have not been admitted to any of their wishes to public high schools, and have a total score of 3 subjects and priority points greater than or equal to the standard score of their 3rd wish of that school.

For students at secondary schools in Can Gio, Nha Be, Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi districts and Thu Duc City, if they register for high schools in the same area, their total exam score must meet the standard score for their first choice.

Note, Thu Duc City is divided into 3 areas, in which Area 1 includes schools in the old District 2, Area 2 includes schools in the old District 9 and Area 3 includes schools in the old Thu Duc District.

Each student can only register for additional enrollment in 1 school that has not yet filled its assigned enrollment quota and cannot change schools after submitting their application.

Students who need additional admission must submit their application directly to the high school, including the 10th grade entrance exam score report issued by the middle school and stamped with a red seal.

High schools will receive applications for additional enrollment from 10pm to 5pm on July 27.

On August 6, schools announced the list of additional candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year.

From August 7 to 4:00 p.m. on August 12, schools accept admitted candidates.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training reminds schools not to accept more students than their enrollment quota. Students who do not meet the enrollment requirements will not be accepted. Candidates must have their names on the Department's exam management system provided by the Department of Examinations and Education Quality Assessment.

The 2024-2025 public 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6-7, with more than 98,000 candidates taking the exam. Of which, the city's target for public 10th grade is more than 77,300 students.

The benchmark scores of public high schools were announced by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training on July 3, with the highest being Nguyen Thuong Hien High School with 24.25/30 points.
