Tomorrow, the judges will officially enter the high school graduation exam marking stage.

On the morning of June 30, the leader of the Department of Education and Training said that starting tomorrow (July 1), Ho Chi Minh City will carry out the grading of high school graduation exams. In the morning, the steps such as coding and marking will be carried out, and the examiners will officially grade the candidates' exams in the afternoon.

Accordingly, to carry out the work of marking the high school graduation exams of nearly 85,000 candidates, the Department of Education and Training mobilized 1,859 cadres, teachers, and employees to directly participate in the marking work, in committees including the secretariat, marking committee, essay marking committee, and multiple-choice marking committee.

Specifically, the exam marking committee includes 2 marking groups with 1 head of committee; 9 deputy heads of committee and 70 members with about 800 members marking the exam papers.

The essay exam board includes 1 head, 4 vice heads, 25 members and 504 examiners.

The multiple-choice test marking board includes 1 head, 5 deputy heads, 5 members and 90 examiners.

According to the Department of Education and Training, the exam marking will be completed on July 10. From July 11, the exam marking council will carry out the task of matching exam papers and comparing exam results. The high school graduation exam results of nearly 85,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City will be sent to the Ministry of Education and Training on July 15. The high school graduation exam results are expected to be announced at 8:00 a.m. on July 18.

Through the high school graduation exam, with the English test, Master Phung Xuan Cuong, Vinh Vien High School (Tan Phu District), commented that the test was not more difficult than last year. The most difficult parts were in the reading passage such as finding incorrect statements (question 41, code 409), asking about the implications in the passage (question 42, code 409). In addition, there were questions requiring students to read widely to grasp idioms in English (question 5, question 17, code 409). Teachers predicted that about 85% of candidates would score 3-7 points. And the number of candidates scoring 10 points would account for about 0.5%.

As for chemistry, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Do, Principal of Thanh Nhan High School (HCMC), said that the first 30 questions of the exam are simple, students can find the results very quickly. The remaining 10 questions require thinking at the application and high application levels. Among them, the application level has questions related to recycling, which is in line with current trends.

According to Mr. Do, the exam did not have an electrolysis question, so the difficulty level was reduced compared to last year, and the graph question was also easier than previous years. In general, the average score for the high school graduation exam ranged from 6 to 7 points.
