On the morning of June 18, continuing the thematic monitoring program on the current status of grassroots cultural and sports institutions in the province in the period of 2021 - 2024, the Culture - Social Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council conducted a direct survey in Hai Duong City.
Currently, in Hai Duong city, there are 20 new urban and residential area projects with a total area of over 137 hectares. Of which, the land fund for cultural and sports facilities is over 9.6 hectares, accounting for about 7% of the total area.
Some projects have large areas, arranging large land funds for cultural and sports facilities such as Phu Quy urban area project, Tan Phu Hung urban area, Tu Chi residential area, Gia Xuyen commune...
According to the People's Committee of Hai Duong City, the land fund for cultural and sports facilities in some urban areas and projects is still small and does not meet the criteria. Compensation and site clearance for investment in the construction of cultural and sports facilities still faces many difficulties.
Hai Duong City People's Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct new urban and residential areas to speed up project implementation and hand over planned land funds for cultural and sports facilities to organize investment and construction.
Previously, the Culture - Social Committee of Hai Duong Provincial People's Council conducted a direct survey in Thanh Mien district on the afternoon of June 17 and will work with relevant departments and branches on this monitoring content.
