On the morning of March 9, General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, left Hanoi to visit Indonesia, the ASEAN Secretariat and Singapore from March 9-13.
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Chairman of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) Prabowo Subianto, ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, Secretary-General of the Singapore People's Action Party (PAP) Lawrence Wong, on the morning of March 9, 2025, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi to pay a State visit to the Republic of Indonesia, an official visit to the ASEAN Secretariat and an official visit to the Republic of Singapore from March 9 to 13, 2025.
The delegation included comrades: General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee; Bui Thanh Son, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Duc Hai, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; a number of Party Central Committee members who are leaders of ministries, branches, central and local agencies; comrades: Assistant to the General Secretary, Head of the General Secretary's Office; Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Singapore, Ambassador, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to ASEAN.
The visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation continues to demonstrate the consistent implementation of the Party and State's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, and emphasis on relations with neighboring countries in the region, including two important partners, Indonesia and Singapore; further demonstrating Vietnam's spirit of initiative, responsibility and creativity with practical contributions, joining hands to realize ASEAN's future aspirations.
